An Australian woman has revealed the long list of activities and foods she would like to reunite with after a year of traveling around Europe.
Lauren, from Sydney, traveled through several ‘dream’ places like England, Greece, Italy and more during her year abroad.
But the traveler’s thoughts kept returning to home and all the things she had missed since she left.
Her to-do list included Red Rock Deli chips, high-quality Australian coffee, spending time in the fresh fruit and vegetable department at Coles, walking the aisles at Kmart, and eating chicken salt.
She also missed iconic Aussie Tim Tams and Bunnings snags — and vowed to visit her nearest venue for a wiener as soon as she landed.
What Lauren added to the list of food items he missed was to “puff a lemon-lime and bitters in three seconds,” eat a Woolworths chocolate mudcake, and “empty the entire bakery of every sausage roll and meat pie.”
There were also several other aspects of her Euro journey that shocked her.
The Sydney woman shared that sanitary products for women abroad felt like they were from the “medieval era” and didn’t work properly, making much of her journey uncomfortable.
Public etiquette was also very different – Lauren was oblivious to the fact that people walk on different sides of the road.
“I miss having a designated walking side and saying hello to everyone I pass,” she wrote.
Many other expats and travelers shared their own list of Aussie favourites.
“I’ve been in the UK for four years without lemon, lime and bitters – it’s been hell,” said one woman.

“Sometimes I dream about the Woolies mud cake,” wrote another.
“I miss a designated side of the path to walk on – I’m constantly checked on my shoulder in London,” said a Melbourne woman.
‘Oh I miss a Woolies choke so much and all the dips – where’s the spring onion or the spicy pepper in the UK?’ asked another.
