I’m A Celebrity 2022: Sue Cleaver accuses Boy George of stealing her towel

I’m A Celebrity’s Sue Cleaver was left red-faced for “snagging” Boy George after she accused him of stealing her towel and found him folding it for her.

It seems tensions are mounting for the celebrities in their first week in the jungle, as the 59-year-old Coronation Street actress jumped to conclusions when she couldn’t find her towel in the series’ sixth episode.

But besides George, other camp mates have noticed that they must be careful not to “feel Sue’s wrath” after Matt Hancock left a bowl full of water and shaving cream in the dunny.

Not happy: I’m A Celebrity’s Sue Cleaver was left red-faced for ‘beating off’ Boy George after accusing him of stealing her towel and discovering he was folding it for her

In the morning Sue said, ‘Okay, where’s my towel? I can’t find my towel anywhere. If George took it, he’s a dead man, I tell you. If George stole my dry towel, he’s dead.’

George, meanwhile, was singing in the jungle – but fellow camp mate Mike asked, ‘Are you OK Sue?’, and Sue said to him, ‘No, I’m not Mike, someone stole my towel!’

From the dunny, Sue called to Boy George, “George! You haven’t seen my towel, have you?’

To Sue’s surprise, Boy George replied, “Yes, I folded it by the bed. I folded it because I took it off where it was drying.’ Sue replied, “Oh…thank you.”

When she admitted her mistake to Charlene, she laughed: ‘I made fun of him, ‘I bet George took it.’

Sue confessed to the Bush Telegraph: “Boy George had it folded for me… But I stick to the fact that if anything is taken, it’s usually George.”

Sue continued her morning routine and said to Mike, “Matt left all his mess here from shaving. He’s come here, he’s shaved, he’s left all his mess in the bowl, he’s left the head of his razor, look! Tell him when you go back.’

Mike said, ‘I’m very close to Sue because she’s a no-nonsense lady who says what she feels. I like that, it’s not often reading between the lines. It’s right in front of you, that’s pretty nice.’

Back at camp, Mike said to Matt, “Sue wasn’t happy you left all the water in the bowl. The shaving water in the bowl. Warning, before Sue gets mad.”

Seann added, “You’re going to feel Sue’s wrath.”

Sue returned to camp and announced, “Matthew…” and Matt already knew what to say: “I’m sorry, I left a bowl of water.”

Sue explained, “You left a bowl full of water with shaving cream, you also left your razor head and its packaging. Litter in the jungle. I did it this time…’

Matt replied, “You won’t do it again.”

Sue’s candid style was a change from Thursday night’s episode, when Seann Walsh discussed his Strictly kissing scandal, calling it the “worst moment of my life.”

The comedian, 36, found himself in the middle of a media storm when he was photographed kissing Katya Jones while she was married to Neil Jones and he was dating now ex-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries.

Talking to fellow camp mate Sue, Seann said, “Me and my dance partner, who was married, I was in a relationship, we were photographed kissing when we were on Strictly Come Dancing . . . that was the front page of every newspaper.”

Sue asked, ‘Why did you crucify that? Why did that have such an impact?’

Seann said, “To be completely honest, my poor ex, my girlfriend at the time, posted a statement. My girlfriend [at the time] posted a statement and that was the end of me.’

Seann then added, “I said sorry. I was on Jonathan Ross’s TV show and apologized. I sat next to will.i.am and Samuel L. Jackson and apologized.

“That will forever be the weirdest moment of my life and I have to say probably the worst moment of my life.”

In the Bush Telegraph, Sue expressed her condolences to Seann, saying he was “brave” to put himself back in the spotlight with I’m A Celebrity.

She said, ‘He’s a sweet boy. He is a sensitive soul, a very sensitive soul. He’s had the ringer for the past three years. I think he’s very brave and I’m glad he’s here.’
