I’m a Celebrity star Owen Warner held back tears on Friday’s Loose Women when he was reunited with his jungle co-star Charlene White.

The Hollyoaks star, 23, was emotional as she detailed her bond with the newscaster, 42, telling the panel how Charlene ‘looked after me’ in the jungle in her mother’s absence.

Owen and Charlene spent two weeks together with their fellow campers in the Australian jungle for the ITV show, which was ultimately won by Lioness Jill Scott.

Initially, Owen had believed that Charlene was not on the show, having previously been interviewed by Kaye Adams, Stacey Solomon, Judi Love, and Nadia Sawalha.

However, she came out and surprised him, before they continued to discuss their time together on the Ant and Dec show.

Owen said of Charlene, “This woman here is amazing, beautiful inside and out, what a chef too.”

Fighting back tears, she continued, ‘Charlene taught me so much about myself…she really took care of me.

I’m so close to my mother and my family and not have that. having no one to turn to when you need it, when you need help… and having someone like Charlene.

Owen continued: “Every time I’m feeling down, every time I’m not feeling myself, Charlene is there. Not pushing me, not trying to get answers out of me, not digging into what’s wrong with me… just cheering me up. and be there.

It comes after Owen revealed the hard times he endured in the jungle, admitting he was wrong to believe he would “go with the breeze” of the challenge.

He told MailOnline he was confident taking part in the program because he hoped his high level of fitness would help support his time at the camp.

But after becoming homesick and facing low points as a result of not eating properly, which Owen fought the most of his fellow campers, he quickly realized that the jungle was no easy feat.

When asked about his most difficult moment in camp, Owen replied: ‘What? It was amazing there, but it was very, very, difficult.

‘I went in with the mentality that I was going to succeed. I thought, I’m an athletic geezer, I can do challenges, I didn’t think much about food, and I didn’t think about losing the family aspect.
