With Halloween just days away, Brits will be thinking about how to dress up for the spooky festive evening.
If you’ve been putting it off until the last minute and are frantically trying to put something together with what you have in your wardrobe, makeup may be your best bet.
A British beauty influencer has revealed a quick and easy makeup hack that can have you looking fearsome in no time, and all you need is something from your kitchen.
It’s also an affordable option if you don’t feel like wearing a costume; just combine the creepy face look with clothes you already have.
The TikTok of @lenkalul has been seen by a whopping 9.6 million people in less than a week, with users calling the hack ‘so clever’.

In the video titled “Easy Halloween Makeup Hack with a Fork,” the TikToker holds up a fork and red lipstick.
She rubs the lipstick about halfway across the back of the fork tines before bringing it to her face.
The influencer gently presses the back of the fork and wipes it against her cheek, creating the illusion that it has been scratched.
It already looks realistic, but to make it even more effective, she takes a small brush to smudge the edges.
She also adds brown eyeshadow on top to add depth to the wound, and splatters some fake blood on it for extra effect. Don’t worry if you don’t have fake blood, you can still achieve the look without fake blood.
Viewers quickly took to the comments to praise the hack and tag their friends.
One user wrote “The fork is so clever,” while others added “Best Halloween makeup” and “I’ll try this for Halloween.”
Another makeup fanatic said ‘tip: use some wax/gelatin/latex to give it some depth’, while a fan added: ‘So good!!!! Keep the hacks coming.”
It comes after another beauty influencer shared her secret to creating the illusion of realistic fake blood using just dry shampoo and red hairspray.
