The star of an iconic Cadbury advert has revealed the shocking truth behind her jealous appearance in the brand’s famous ‘eyebrows’ advert.

Georgia Wake starred in a 2009 Cadbury advert that featured two siblings sitting in a photographer’s studio waiting for their portrait. When the photographer leaves to answer the phone, the children begin a choreographed eyebrow dance.

The confectionery giant sparked a conversation about the children’s ‘unique’ ability to ‘dance with their eyebrows’ at the time – with millions captivated by the distinctive talent.

But – Wake recently revealed that she had deceived the public for years and that her ‘eyebrow dance’ was simply edited.

“When you lie to the nation about your eyebrow talent,” she said in one clamp.

She also added, “Who remembers this iconic ad? How times change. Nine-year-old me blossomed.”

Thousands were shocked that one of the legendary 1990s ads was simply the work of video editors.

“This ad captivated me, I finally learned how to raise an eyebrow at everyone – it only took me six years to master – and now I discovered I was living a lie,” one person said.

“Every time the ad came up I tried desperately to keep up,” one woman wrote.

“This ad was my childhood – I was waiting for you to remake it!” said another.

“Oh my god, I remember this so clearly – everyone at school tried it,” one person added.

But some were suspicious all along.

“When I went to Cadbury World as a kid they told me it was tape and wire,” one woman said.

“Just re-watched the ad and it’s so painfully obvious it’s been edited,” another added. “I never thought anything of it until that moment.”
