The Pittsburgh native has become a viral sensation for sharing her impressive weight loss journey online

But according to the Pittsburgh native, who has become a viral sensation for sharing her impressive weight-loss journey online, she quickly discovered that the key to her success was “starting small” and taking things “one step at a time.”

She used a method called habit stacking, which involves “building and maintaining one healthy habit before trying a new one.”

First, she started increasing her daily step count to at least 8,000 before also improving her water intake to a gallon a day.

After that, she started exercising at home twice a week and making most of her meals herself instead of eating out.

She also started cutting off her screen time at 9 p.m. to make sure she got enough sleep.

As time went on, she increased her home work-outs to three a week, eventually going to five.

“I didn’t go to the gym until I lost 100 pounds at home following these habits,” she explained on Instagram. “And I didn’t start tracking my eating until about six months into my trip.

“I never focused on setting a goal to lose weight, I just wanted to be healthy and feel good in my body.”

In the end, she added that while her physical transformation has been very beneficial, the mental changes are the most “rewarding.”

“My greatest reward by far is the person I became along the way,” she gushed. “When I started my journey, I was on my own.

“I had no guidance and no support. I share my journey and the knowledge I have gained to inspire others to start living a happier and healthier life.

‘Our goal at Liza Marie Fit is to help women build self-confidence and create healthy, sustainable habits that actually last.’
