A woman claims she has a severe allergy to orgasms, but she has never received an official diagnosis because doctors do not believe her.
Kate shocked Australian radio duo Will & Woody with the little-known condition she suffers from between the sheets.
During a segment about the “condition you have that no one believes in,” she explained that she went into anaphylactic shock “every time” she had an orgasm.
“I can’t breathe, my eyes are swelling up, I can’t see and I have to call Triple 0. I have an EpiPen… it’s a big thing,” Kate told the KIISSFM stars.
She first noticed something was wrong during a one-night stand.
“That’s how I found out and it was very embarrassing,” she said.
“I honestly thought I was having a reaction to his cologne or something. It was actually the first time I’d ever experienced that and it was just so embarrassing.”
Kate said she didn’t know what was wrong with her at first, but later made the connection every time she had an orgasm.

“I went to the doctor… eventually an allergy specialist, but I never got an official diagnosis,” she explains.
“They asked me if I was allergic to latex and all that ridiculous stuff.”
Kate says she’s been able to keep her allergies under control behind closed doors.
She should keep an EpiPen on hand in case she risks a life-threatening reaction.
“If I go on vacation or something, I pack the EpiPen. In my house, I know where it is because I just can’t hold it in all the time,” she said.
‘It was very awkward at first, but my partner is completely understanding and very supportive.’

Many listeners were baffled by the woman’s secretive state, with one joking: “There’s no way she can fake it.”
While others confessed: ‘This is my worst nightmare.’
According to the National Institutes of Health, there have been reports of people suffering from post-orgasmic illness syndrome (POIS), an extremely rare condition in which a person develops flu and allergy symptoms after an orgasm.
Common symptoms include fatigue, weakness, headache, fever, mood swings, memory or concentration problems, stuffy nose, sore throat, and itchy eyes.
