A woman who flew to Turkey to get a nose job has hit back at people who criticized her choice, saying they’re just jealous because she’s getting “hotter.”
Alexandria Linton of California paid $4,500 for the procedure and $1,300 for round-trip airfare to pinch her nose.
The medical saleswoman was over the moon with her decision, documenting her trip to Turkey and her pre-surgery jitters on TikToK.
She also revealed that people contacted her to dissuade her from having the surgery saying she looked great without cosmetic surgery.
In response, Alexandria made a video suggesting that the negative comments stemmed from people being jealous that the surgery would make her look better.
Alexandria Linton, from California, traveled to Turkey for a nose job and paid $4,500 (£3,617) for the procedure and $1,300 (£1,044) for a round-trip flight to have her nose corrected
The TikToker addressed her critics in a video while recovering from surgery in Turkey.
In sweatpants and a white bandage over her nose, she filmed herself fixing her hair and giving the camera a peace sign.
A caption above the video read, “If they hate you about plastic surgery, but they’re really just mad, you’re getting hotter.”
In a video shot a few days after the video, showing just a tiny hint of skin color on the bridge of her nose, Alexandria told her followers, “Don’t let anyone stop you from having plastic surgery.
“I have this plaster on my face and I still have a warm feeling,” she added.
The video was viewed by more than 133,000 people eager to hear about Alexandria’s cosmetic journey.
Before the edit, Alexandria was so self-conscious about her snout that she wouldn’t post a video without first editing it with a filter to smooth out her features and make her nose smaller.
Leading up to her surgery, some people tried to convince the TikTok personality that she didn’t need to change her appearance.
The TikTok personality who said people who tried to talk her out of the procedure were just jealous she was getting ‘hotter’ showed the results of her surgery online
Before the procedure, pictured, Alexandria used filters to reduce the appearance of her muzzle in her videos
One simply said she didn’t “need” the procedure, while others said her nose “looked great the way it was.”
“You don’t have to do anything, you’re already beautiful,” someone said.
Your nose is what makes you unique. I used to hate my nose but now I love it, it makes me different from any girl,” said another.
Alexandria kindly replied, “I love that for you!! I’ve always wanted to fix my nose, so I’m very happy with my decision.’
One person said their noses make them unique, and Alexandria explained that she didn’t feel the same way
Supportive followers told the TikTok personality that people envied her for not being able to afford the same, while others said she should act on what gave her confidence
But other followers encouraged Alexandria in her decision.
‘Do what makes you happy and feel confident. People aren’t going to live your life for you,” said one.
Another defended her against her critics, with one saying it was “just their insecurities calling it out.”
“They are angry that they have no money to make themselves beautiful,” another wrote.
