A husband has been furiously berated online after his wife shared a video of his “demeaning” behavior that left her in tears on their son’s first birthday.

The viral video, which has been viewed more than 3.1 million times, shows the unnamed man and woman surrounding their son as family and friends record what they thought would be a touching moment.
However, it turned into a nightmare that made the mother want to “strangle” her husband because of the “red flag” where he smashed their son’s birthday cake on his wife’s face, causing her to miss the moment when she cut the dessert and the photos because she tried to get the sweet treat off her.

The anonymous mother captioned the clip: “The time I wanted to choke my husband for handing cake in my face surrounded by family I had just met for the first time.
“I had been looking forward to our son’s first party and the family photos…we only got one photo before I had to shower. I’m not sure why he thought this was a good idea… I cried like a baby over the lost memories, cake was even cut while I showered.
“If he ever does this again, he won’t be able to talk about it,” she revealed.
After going through a difficult and high-risk pregnancy, the mom and content creator was ecstatic for her baby’s first birthday, and couldn’t wait to capture the moment with tons of family photos.
The clip began as a sweet moment shared between family and friends, with the parents singing to their son.
And while the son didn’t seem too interested, the father certainly was.
Near the end of the video, the man picks up the cake and throws it on his wife’s face, who stuck out her tongue thinking he was giving her a bite.
