Hunter Biden steps out in Malibu – 24 hours after the special prosecutor said he would charge him on gun charges that could carry up to 10 years in prison by the end of the month

Hunter Biden took a walk through Malibu with his Secret Service operatives — 24 hours after Special Counsel David Weiss warned they planned to charge him with buying a gun while on drugs in late September.

The president’s scandal-stricken son donned his signature aviator glasses and cap after spending an hour at an upscale restaurant near the $15,800-a-month apartment he co-rents with his wife Melissa and son Beau.

The 53-year-old looks relaxed despite his growing legal troubles and gun charges that could see him face up to 10 years in prison.

Hunter had reached an agreement that would have allowed him to avoid trial on gun charges if he served parole for 24 months.

But the deal failed spectacularly in court in July, when the judge tore down the agreement between the plaintiffs and his lawyers.

Now charges for lying on a federal firearms form appear to be back on the table, according to a new filing signed Wednesday by Special Counsel Weiss.

“The Speedy Trial Act requires the government to recover the indictment from a grand jury no earlier than Friday, September 29, 2023,” the filing reads. “The government intends to seek the return of charges in this case before that date.”

Hunter Biden is also under investigation for his foreign business dealings, which are also the subject of investigations launched by Republicans in the House of Representatives in Congress.

He would be spared jail time when Delaware’s U.S. Attorney Weiss and his attorneys entered into a plea deal that would see the younger Biden plead guilty to two felonies, namely failure to pay more than $100,000 in taxes.

Hunter had earned more than $1.5 million in revenue in 2017 and 2018.

As part of the plea deal, he would have avoided prosecution on the gun charge if he met certain conditions for 24 months.

Hunter had lied about a 2018 application to buy a gun.

A photo of the form shows him answering “no” when asked if he was an “unlawful user of or addicted to marijuana or any other depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug or other controlled substance.”

Hunter wrote about his extensive drug use during that period of his life in his 2021 memoir, Beautiful Things.

Republicans in Washington complained that the president’s son made a “cute deal” for himself.
