Hunter Biden adds ex-Republican congressman and January 6 staffer to his legal team

Former Republican Representative Denver Riggleman has been working with Hunter Biden’s legal team since late last year, the ex-Congressman confirmed Wednesday.

Riggleman, who served as a staffer on the House Select Committee on Jan. 6 after losing his 2020 primaries, has spent months investigating whether there is any data linked to Hunter — and there are masses of the so-called “laptop of h* **’ – is distorted or made up.

Hunter has become a central figure in House Republican investigations, and Riggleman – who left the Republican Party last June – has given him insight into House Republicans and their methods, This is reported by CBS News.

The first son’s lawyers have already questioned data attributed to Hunter by Republicans, including WhatsApp messages that claim to show he used his father’s position as a former U.S. vice president to launch a closing a business deal with a Chinese employee.

“Truth matters. When I took this job, I wasn’t pro-Hunter or anti-Hunter. I am pro data and facts. Forensics reveal significant information on Hunter Biden is questionable,” Riggleman tweeted Wednesday.

Riggleman is a disinformation specialist, having served as an Air Force intelligence officer and then as a National Security Agency contractor.

“The American people deserve the truth. Sourcing, expert data analysis and fact-based insights are the only way,” continues Riggleman. “I look forward to the truth coming out.”

Riggleman’s involvement with the first son became known after he was spotted Monday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C., with some of Hunter’s lawyers and then again at the White House for the Fourth of July celebration, as the guest of a member of Hunter’s team, according to CBS.

Hunter’s attorney Kevin Morris confirmed Riggleman’s work with the group.

“Denver has been helping us with data analytics since late last year,” Morris said in a statement. “He is invaluable and we have made tremendous progress in untangling the massive amount of corruption and disinformation involved in this story.”

“There’s a lot more coming to the public,” the lawyer added.

Riggleman then said, “Me and my forensics, data and telephony team conduct data research and analysis for Hunter Biden’s legal team,” with a focus on “data across the spectrum.”

Riggleman wrote a book about his time spent on the January 6 House selection committee, which was criticized by some members of the panel and congressional aides.

Riggleman’s political career has been an interesting one, as his first congressional opponent, Democrat Leslie Cockburn, is the mother of actress Olivia Wilde.

The two had a remarkable back-and-forth over “Bigfoot Erotica.”

He defeated Cockburn in the 2018 election to represent Charlottesville, Virginia and the surrounding area.

Two years later, he was nominated by Republican Bob Good, who used Riggleman’s decision to have a same-sex marriage against him.

After losing his congressional seat, Riggleman joined the January 6 House selection committee as a Republican staffer, but left the group in April 2022, before work was completed.

He came out with a book called, The Breach: The Untold Story of the January 6 Investigationwith journalist Hunter Walker, in September.

The book was criticized by some members of the committee and Hill aides for being “unauthorized” and, in their view, not telling the whole story.

In the book, Riggleman was both complementary and critical of the commission’s bipartisan panel.

He called Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and later a Jan. 6 committee member, “exceptionally political.”

Schiff is currently running for the California Senate.

He also accused Republican Representative Liz Cheney — a well-known Trump critic like Riggleman — of trying not to interfere too much in the actions of Ginni Thomas, a conservative political activist and the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

At the same time, he praised Cheney and the other GOP committee member, Representative Adam Kinzinger, for having “real backbones” in standing up to the rest of the House Republican Caucus by participating in the Jan. 6 congressional inquiry.
