How to get mementos in Hades 2

Memories help you stay safe indoors Hades 2. Most Keepsakes provide passive benefits while running and are aimed at improving your chances of survival (or at least your chances of not dying so quickly).

You get Keepsakes by donating Nectar, a semi-rare resource Hades 2‘s cast of gods, heroes, and other ancient Greek notables. If you played the original HadesMuch of this will seem familiar to you: it’s functionally the same system.

How to get mementos in Hades 2

To bestow Nectar on Olympian gods, you must encounter one of their favors.

When you are near a character, press RT (on the controller or Steam Deck layout) to give ‘gift’. In the menu that appears, select the “Nectar” option from the grid. (It’s a jar of honey.) If it’s the first time you give a nectar to that character, they will respond in kind by giving you a memento.

As far as we know, you can only get one souvenir from each character. In other words, if you want to unlock all the Keepsakes Hades 2you’re better off holding on to your Nectar until you’ve given every character you meet at least one.

How to level up Keepsakes in Hades 2

A Hades 2 menu shows a list of available Keepsakes, Keepsake effects, and who received them.

Leveling up memories Hades 2 is simple: the more battles you survive while wearing a Keepsake, the stronger it becomes.

Based on our testing, you’ll need to complete 25 encounters (rooms with some sort of combat) to level up a Keepsake from rank 1 to 2, and then another 50 encounters to level it up from rank 2 to 3.

Ranking a Keepsake also increases its potency. For example, at rank 1, the Ghost Onion Keepsake can restore a total of 50 health over the course of a run. Take it to rank 2 and that figure jumps to 75 health.

You can equip Keepsakes at the cupboard in the room where you prepare for your runs, as shown in the screenshot at the top of this post. You can only wear one keepsake at a time.

List of souvenirs in Hades 2

There are 27 souvenirs in Hades 2although we’ve only unlocked 17 at the time of writing. What follows is a list of all the souvenirs we found Hades 2 (so far)plus details on who you can get them from and what effects they have.

Please note that although keepsakes are not numbered, they appear in a specific order in the keepsake cabinet. The chart below is organized in that order, with the charts we haven’t yet unlocked marked as “TBD.”

There is	Dissonant bell	After each encounter you deal +0.5% damage, but you also get a lot more.

Hermes	Metal drop	You move, punch and channel 20% faster for the next 200 seconds.
Artemis	White antlers	Although you don’t have more than 30 health, you have a +20% chance to deal critical damage.
Selene	Moonbeam	You get +1 upgrades to your Hex from the next Star Path you find.
Zeus	Cloud bracelet	You are more likely to receive a blessing from Zeus. You can make his common blessings rare after this run.
