For the past two months, Putin’s generals have been hurling men, armor and artillery at Ukrainian positions along the country’s 600-mile front in some of the deadliest battles of the war.
But as the dust begins to settle and the blood begins to dry, Russia is willing to do almost nothing.
Putin’s ramshackle army has pushed the front line forward, but failed to break through – despite losing up to 1,000 men a day.
Now Ukraine is about to strike back.
