Elon Musk and many other tech experts are calling for a six-month pause on AI systems.
A group of tech and industry experts has written an open letter warning of potential risks with artificial intelligence.
It was in response to OpenAI’s recent release of GPT-4, a more advanced successor to the widely used AI chatbot ChatGPT3.
The letter also states: Powerful AI systems should not be developed until we are sure that their effects will be positive and that their risks will be manageable.
This break should be public, verifiable and include all key actors.
But will this happen?
