A ‘daddy’s little girl’ has been identified as the teenage driver who tragically died after losing control of her car and crashing into a tree.
Selina Bennetts Ly was killed instantly when she went off the road on Horsley Drive in Wetherill Park in Sydney’s west just after 11pm on Thursday.
Four of her friends, two boys aged 16 and 17, and two girls aged 17 and 19, were taken to Liverpool and Westmead hospitals for further treatment.
Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Mrs Bennetts Ly’s heartbroken father Sok told the story Daily telegram he ‘wished’ he had the chance to tell her how proud he was.
“I’m not sure what to say, she loves spending time with me, every time I go out she comes with me,” he said.

‘She loves computer games, she is a great lover of pets. Selina is daddy’s little girl, who never said anything back and always respects me.’
‘I can say that I am very proud of her. I wish I had the chance.’
It is clear that she was driving with a provisional driver’s license.
Fairfield Police are investigating the incident and have asked anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
“Police will prepare a report into the woman’s death for the information of the coroner,” a NSW Police spokesperson said in a statement.
It comes after three members of the same family were killed in a horror crash between a car and a tanker near Brisbane on Thursday morning.
Steven Wheeler, 54, and his parents Bob Wheeler, 84, and Magret, 81, were pronounced dead at the scene after the collision at about 5:45 a.m.

The male driver of the semi-trailer, 52, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Kingaroy Hospital by paramedics in a stable condition.
Two close friends were killed on Tuesday evening after a suspended driver crashed their motorcycle in Greenacre, in Sydney’s west.
William Brown, 26, and his passenger Doey Choi, 24, were thrown several meters after a Toyota Corolla turned at a busy intersection around 7 p.m.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, both Brown and Choi died at the scene while the driver was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
More than a dozen people have died on NSW roads in the past two weeks.
