The grieving high school sweetheart of one of two young men killed when their 4WD fell off a cliff during a camping trip is opening up about her “amazing” partner who lived for the ocean and adrenaline.
Louis Eeles, 22, and Matthew Farr, also 22, were among six friends camping at Little Bay, near Horrocks Beach in Western Australia’s mid-west, when the pair and another friend decided to go for a drive early on Sunday morning.
Their Nissan 4WD plunged 20 to 30 meters down a cliff along White Cliffs Road, briefly killing the Geraldton pair and leaving their 21-year-old partner seriously injured.
Kayla Stubbs, Mr Eeles’ girlfriend of four years, wrote a heartbreaking tribute to the young apprentice trader on his Facebook page on Thursday evening.

“Louis touched the lives of many in unique and meaningful ways, but most of all he will be remembered as the embodiment of pure joy and zest for life,” Ms. Stubbs wrote.
“With an enormous heart and boundless generosity, Louis made time for everyone, exemplifying the true spirit of compassion and selflessness.
He approached life with unwavering enthusiasm, worked diligently and embraced every opportunity for adventure with open arms.
“His ability to find beauty in the simplest moments was truly remarkable.
She added that her partner lived for the ocean and adrenaline and was “so loved by everyone.”
‘He would do anything for anyone. And his sense of humor – it was infectious, his personality and love of life, it made everyone so happy,” Mrs Stubbs told the newspaper. Western Australian.
“He was never the type to be sad.”
Mr Eeles had just started his training as a refrigeration technician.
The high school sweethearts were supposed to go camping together, but before Ms Stubbs pulled out at the last minute after her partner asked her to run an errand for him
“He wanted me to buy something for him at the market,” she recalled.
“He loved his soaps and fragrance diffusers. He liked most of the things guys didn’t like, but he really took care of himself, he had a better skincare routine than me.”

Mrs. Stubbs was supposed to join her high school sweetheart on a camping trip, but instead she ran a last-minute errand to buy Mr. Eeles something “off the market.”
Mr Eeles was described as her ‘partner, confidante and rock’.
“With you by my side I felt invincible, as if we were embarking on a great adventure together, nothing else mattered,” she wrote in an obituary in the Geraldton Guardian.
The alarm went off when the remaining campers noticed the trio had not returned and called emergency services. Police, paramedics and firefighters arrived on the scene shortly before 4am to find the 21-year-old sole survivor of the crash wandering along the road. .
He was taken to Geraldton Health Campus and airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital on Sunday evening remains in a stable condition with back and neck injuries.
Police and fire brigades were assisted by an RAC rescue helicopter to recover the bodies of the two men.
The wreckage of the Nissan Patrol remained on the roof at the bottom of the cliff for several days.
Police had to wait for permission from the property owner before a heavy-duty tow truck could enter the private road before the wreckage could be removed.
Officers from the major crash investigation unit are investigating the incident and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
All factors are being considered, including speed, alcohol and whether the two men who died were wearing seat belts.
