Why this Aussie tradie’s ‘genius’ wheelie bin hack is sweeping the country: ‘Game changed’

A tradie has been praised for his ‘genius’ bin trick after discovering the time-saving method when taking in his rubbish.

Kyle Hume I learned a simple way to wheel two bins back from the curb at the same time by joining them together.

“I’ve been driving two bins around my whole life until I noticed this,” he captioned the TikTok video.

He places the green and red bins opposite each other, rests the lid of the green bin in the opening of the red one, and then closes the red bin.

This creates a sturdy connection between the two, so you can tip the red box up and drive back in.

The ‘stunning’ hack was previously revealed by American creator Cade Grier, who discovered a similar detail on his waste bins.

Millions were shocked that they didn’t have to make multiple trips or drag two bins back with both hands.

‘What? Are you joking?’ said one.

“I learned more about growing up on TikTok than I ever did in school,” another joked.

“My father will be amazed when I show him this.”

“I have four bins – this will save my life,” one person added.

But not everyone was impressed.

‘I’m in Australia and you have two hands, one for each bucket. Grab, turn, walk [back]that’s what we do,” one man wrote.
