Loyal viewers of the popular Channel Seven drama quickly sparked discussion after a group photo of Lincoln Younes (Casey Braxton), Demi Harman (Sasha Bezmel), Andrew Morley (Spencer Harrington) and Kassandra Clementi (Maddy Osborne) in school uniform. 2013 was shared with a popular Facebook group.

The fictional school hasn’t appeared on the soap since Lukas Radovich (Ryder Jackson) and Courtney Miller (Bella Nixon) were on screens.

“Bring Summer Bay High School back,” one person wrote, and another added, “I wish they would use the school scenes again.”

“I loved that it USED [to] covers most age groups, if I’m completely honest I no longer get sad if I miss one or two or seven episodes. The storylines are a bit boring and then something happens in a far-fetched 2-episode space with little to no build-up,” a third commented.

Fans reminisced about the school’s storylines and some commented that it was their favorite part of the series.

“Bring back those days. The current storylines are ridiculous,” another commented.

But others argued that they were glad there were no more schoolyard storylines.

“I don’t miss it, I never liked the teen stories,” said one fan.

Another blamed the recent pandemic for a change, writing: ‘I suspect it may not have been used in recent years due to Covid? There’s always a lot of extras needed for the school scenes and they might not have been able to do them in a safe environment.’

“The storyline is over, the writers have moved on thank goodness,” a third added.

“I think with the show and audiences maturing, so have the stories and less focus on teens,” another agreed.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Seven for comment.
