Home and Away star Lincoln Younes’ scathing response to Kim Kardashian being named GQ’s Man of the Year: ‘There are other women I would put first’

Lincoln Younes had some nice words for Kim Kardashian after she was named GQ magazine’s Man of the Year last week.

The former Home and Away star, 31, said he had mixed feelings about the US menswear magazine awarding the American socialite its top honour.

“I definitely think naming a woman as Man of the Year is really progressive and a great thing,” he said The Daily Telegraph.

“I don’t know how I feel about Kim, though. I think there are a number of other women I would put first.”

Last year, GQ Australia awarded Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Baz Luhrmann, Russell Crowe, Murray Bartlett, DJ Fisher and Dylan Alcott as their joint MOTY.

Meanwhile, Younes is said to be in the running for a nomination this year, following his work on the critically acclaimed miniseries Last King of the Cross.

Last week, Kim confused fans after landing on the cover of GQ’s Men Of The Year issue.

The 43-year-old reality star was one of three cover stars of the US edition, which honored a selection of people who are shaping culture, fashion, entertainment and sports in 2023.

Kim was named Tycoon of the Year following the launch of Skims menswear, and posed in an androgynous suit and tie for the cover spread, taking to Instagram to share: ‘Hi! I’m the GQ Man of the Year!’

She’s not the first bitch to cover the annual edition, following Rihanna, Megan Thee Stallion, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston and Scarlett Johansson.

Meanwhile, Younes’ star is on the rise and he recently bought a sleek Bondi apartment for a whopping $925,000.

“I definitely think naming a woman as man of the year is really progressive and a great thing,” he said

Located between Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach and bustling Bondi Junction, the chic two-bedroom apartment features an elegant 1930s Art Deco design.

This prime property, part of a 12-unit low-rise complex, had previously been on the market with Ray White Woollahra Paddington but was unable to find a buyer.

However, when it was recently offered at Ray White Eastern Beaches Coogee, it caught Younes’ eye and was snatched up within a week.
