Holly Valance paid a heartfelt tribute to her late mother Janet Andrewartha.
The 41-year-old former soap star took to X on Monday to mourn the loss of her Neighbours colleague, who passed away in Melbourne last Friday at the age of 72.
Holly, who played Felicity Scully in Neighbours, posted a selfie with Janet, who played her mother Lyn in the long-running series.
“Deeply sad to lose Janet Andrewartha. She was a wonderful person who taught me so much from the age of 15,” Holly wrote in the caption of the image.
‘I will cherish her last trip to the UK forever. Precious memories that I am so grateful for. A beautiful, talented, hilarious and kind woman.
“I’m so glad you played my mom. You were the real deal. You made us feel safe. And took care of us when we were all so young in the industry. It was an honor to work beside you and call you a friend. X,” Valance concluded.
Jane passed away peacefully in Melbourne on Friday, surrounded by her daughters Eloise and Sarah.
Her death was announced on Sunday, with the soap opera sharing a moving tribute on Instagram.

“Deeply sad to lose Janet Andrewartha. She was an amazing person who taught me so much from the age of 15,” Holly wrote in the caption of her post
“Everyone at Neighbours is deeply saddened by the passing of Janet Andrewartha,” the message reads.
‘Janet was loved by viewers for her role as Lyn Scully in Ramsay Street, but will be remembered for her extensive body of work, including her memorable role as Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H.’
The message also included some heartbreaking words from one of Janet’s best friends and Neighbours colleague Jackie Woodburne, who plays Susan Kennedy.

“Janet was one of the finest actors of her generation, but above all she was an extraordinary woman,” she wrote.
“Passionate, political, curious, delightfully eccentric, generous and fun. She was my loyal friend for over 45 years. I will miss her every day.”
Janet starred in the Channel Ten show from 1999 to 2006 and reprised her iconic role several times up until 2019.
In total, she appeared in over 699 episodes of the beloved series.
The actress appeared in several other television shows throughout her decades-long career, including brief appearances on Blue Heelers and A Country Practice.
