A day at an indoor golf course ended with two couples arrested for a wild brawl that broke out in front of terrified families.

Holey Moley Golf Club in Wollongong was the scene of a violent fight between strangers on April 23 last year.

Ben Mark Everest, 35, and Chloe McDougall, 31, arrived at the scene and as they made their way across the field, they met up with Adam Jeffriess, 39, and Jessica Stanford, 26, around 5 p.m.

CCTV footage played back at Wollongong Local Court showed Jeffries walking up behind McDougall, prompting McDougall to say: ‘Hey, look where the hell you’re going!’

The pair then had a heated exchange before heading back to their later groups, but it didn’t take long for it to start up once more.

Two couples have faced off in court after a fight broke out at Holey Moley putt putt in Wollongong, knocking over patrons and causing families to flee the venue screaming.

Jeffries was heard saying something to the effect of, ‘I wasn’t even close to you…fuck you.’

He then moved to Everest and landed a punch, with McDougall leaping to his then-partner’s defense.

The women then began fighting each other after Stanford grabbed McDougall.

His family members try to break up the fight as about 50 stunned patrons look on in shock.

Several people were knocked to the ground during the melee, and many were captured screaming on CCTV vision, before staff managed to stop the fight, with police arriving a short time later.

Jeffriess, Stanford, and Everest were arrested, while McDougal managed to avoid arrest because he needed to care for four children.

Jeffriess has pleaded guilty to his role in the fight and his matter is yet to be finalized with the court hearing in which he was the “chief instigator.”

Stanford and McDougall pleaded guilty to common assault charges, and Everest also pleaded guilty to the brawl.

Asked what he had learned from the ordeal, Everest said: “It never should have happened,” the Illawarra Mercury report

Magistrate Michael O’Brien let the trio leave without conviction.
