Hoda Kotb looked quite embarrassed during Wednesday’s episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna when her co-host called her out for “stalking” comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
As Hoda, 59, and Jenna Bush Hager welcomed the 69-year-old comic character to the show to promote his new film, the latter wasted no time in blurting out to him, “Did you know Hoda used to stand in front of your apartment building? ?’
Eager to end the conversation immediately, Hoda said, “Don’t go into my dark past,” while Jerry looked bewildered and replied, “I didn’t know that,” and Jenna, 42, continued, “Yes, she used to just get out waiting and hoping she could catch a glimpse of you!’
Hoda got the hint that Jenna wasn’t letting it go and decided to explain herself, telling Jerry, “No, no, this is what me and my sister did… we saw you at the Mets game on TV and then we were we’re like, “How long until I get back?” because according to sources and doormen I lived close to where you used to live…’

Mum-of-two Hoda looked devastated as she gave 69-year-old Jerry a hug live on air
Looking a little confused, Jerry interrupted Hoda and confirmed, “I live where I used to live,” to which she replied, “Oh, then I won’t tell, I’ll tell you where I used to live later,” before emphasizing, “This was years ago.’
Referring to her and her sister, she added: “So we would stand around waiting, we were like, ‘Is he taking the subway? Is he taking a car?’ before giggling when Jenna asked the sitcom star, “Do you have security here or should I call them?”
Jerry reassured Hoda and replied, “This is the most beautiful thing I’ve heard all day, this makes me feel good. I don’t mind a little stalking, a little stalking is fine.’
Jenna then called out someone else and said, “Well, Sarah Cooper was on the show, she’s straight up stalking you,” while Hoda added, “Grade A is stalking you!”
“Yeah, I don’t mind, because she’s Sarah Cooper!” Jerry joked as the two hosts continued to laugh.
Hoda’s “stalking” was mentioned at the beginning of Wednesday’s episode when the women announced that Jerry would be live in the studio.
“We’re so excited, guess who’s here? Probably right here in the building right now…Jerry Seinfeld! He’s here today, which we’re really excited about…and Hoda’s going to talk to him about the time she stalked him,” Jenna told viewers.
“I did,” Hoda responded, before adding, “Well, he doesn’t know anything about this,” as Jenna fired back, “Well, now he probably does!”

Dad-of-three Jerry told the TV duo he ‘don’t mind a little stalking’
Hoda, 59, confirmed that she lived near Jerry’s home in New York “years ago.”
During an appearance on Tuesday’s show, Sarah Cooper admitted that she finds Jerry attractive
Hoda then said, “Speaking of stalkers, remember who was here yesterday? Sara Kuiper. Sarah Cooper, who stars with Jerry Seinfeld in his movie Unfrosted, was here and she – if you want to know a Jerry Seinfeld stalker – that’s her there.”
“Oh yeah, she’s a stalker. Did you feel a little jealous when you heard her talk about her stalking abilities? Since you came first!’ Jenna asked.
“Well she actually knew him and it came to fruition, she’s actually kind of in a relationship with him,” Hoda replied as Jenna confirmed, “She thinks he’s hot!”
During her appearance on the NBC show on Tuesday, Sarah admitted that she told her friends about Jerry, “I was on set and I thought, ‘Jerry could get it. Jerry Seinfeld could get it.’
