Hilarious and ill-placed signs spotted around the world

It’s a bad sign! These supposedly helpful notices will confuse you more than ever

Typically, we barely register the messages delivered on public boards because they largely tell us exactly what we expect to read. But sometimes they stop us in our way.

Facebook group The absurd drawing projectwhatH has over 100,000 members, is a community where people can share weird and wacky signs they’ve seen on their travels around the world.

While some posts made people laugh because of their wording, such as a road sign directing people to a place called “Horneytown” Road in Carolina, others are funny because of their setting.

For example, a sign in a U.S. supermarket told customers to “look what they’re buying for $1” atop three completely empty shelves.

This sign is something many can relate to with the cost of living crisis and rising inflation – there’s nothing on the shelf you can get for $1

How so? Ironically, someone tried to make a sign to make their complicated entrance easier to find, but it's even more confusing

Elsewhere, a sign at a butcher’s shop in the US urged people not to chuckle over a sign saying that a “dry rub” makes the meat taste better.

And one store’s employees decided honesty was best by putting up a sign in the window saying they’d be open late because of a “collective hangover.”

Here, FEMAIL takes a look at some of the funniest boards posted on the Facebook group…
