Helen Skelton wears a leopard print bikini and goes wild swimming with Dan Walker as they explore the Pennines
Helen Skelton donned a leopard print bikini on Tuesday when she went swimming with Dan Walker.
The old friends travel the ‘Backbone of Britain’, on their own Pennine Adventure, for the new Channel 5 show, Helen And Dan’s Pennine Adventure.
In the series, they explore the epic mountain range on their doorstep, traveling from Dan’s home in Sheffield to Helen’s home in Cumbria, having some amazing adventures along the way.
Helen, 40, and Dan, 46, explored one of the deepest caves in the Yorkshire Dale before heading to Pendragon Castle for a picnic.
Enjoying the grounds of the castle, they took a dip in the icy river, Helen exclaiming, “It’s freezing!”
Taking the plunge: Helen Skelton, 40, slipped into a leopard print bikini as she joined Dan Walker, 46, for a bit of wild swimming on Tuesday
‘I have to give it to Helen, I think there might be something about this wild-swimming lark,’ Dan admitted.
Later in the show, viewers saw the pair go horseback riding, where Dan jokingly added that he should continue the show with his horse Roger, for ‘Dan and Roger’s Pennine Adventure’.
The duo set off again on the journey to Malham, where they stopped at The Tan Hill Inn – the highest pub in Britain by height.
“I didn’t think I’d feel that way about Roger. Maybe I’m in love with him,’ Dan admitted to Helen as they enjoyed dinner.
They throw out the guidebooks and discover the ‘real’ Pennines, asking the people who call the area home for their suggestions on where to visit.
The first episode, which aired two weeks ago, is already a hit with fans – with one text: ‘Loved the first episode of Pennine Adventure. Beautiful view and so enjoyed the banter between the two of you. Great performance!’
By putting themselves outside their comfort zone, the series will also make it seem like they try some adventure sports, learn about the rich history of the places they visit and meet the proud men and women who protect this breathtaking landscape.
The adventure begins in The Peak District, Britain’s first national park. From the beautiful Bamford Edge, Dan and Helen explore the Pennine Way, which stretches all the way to Scotland, and discuss The Kinder Trespass, in which rebel protesters won the right to roam.

In the village of Edale, the official gateway to The Pennines, Dan and Helen shear a sheep with third-generation farmer James Metcalfe.
While Dan is setting up camp one night, he turns on the outdoor stove, while Helen strips down to her bikini to jump into the hot tub.
“I think this is what life in Pennine is all about,” says Dan.
“I’m cooking tea and Helen is in the bubble bath.”
Showing off the natural chemistry between the pair, Helen asks Dan to “keep it quiet” and “don’t get hers too burned” – with Dan joking at her to “keep quiet.”
