Heidi Klum has revealed that she was criticized for her relationship with her husband Tom Kaulitz because he is 16 years younger than her.
The supermodel, 51, told how she was forced to turn off her Instagram comments after being inundated with cruel messages about their age difference.
But the German beauty, who married Tokyo Hotel musician Tom, 35, in 2019, insisted she didn’t let the comments affect her
She said: ‘I have hard skin. I can turn off the noise when I go home, close the door and have a barbecue with the kids.’
Heidi also shared that she hates the term “toy boy,” referring to the younger male partner of an older woman, because she feels their age difference doesn’t matter.

The America’s Got Talent judge even admitted that she and Tom sometimes joke about their age difference.
She said: ‘He has to read the menu while eating or I have to take a photo and zoom in if I forget my reading glasses, but we joke about it.’
The rift has benefited Heidi in other ways, as she admitted the couple enjoyed a great sex life.
Discussing her exercise regime, Heidi said: ‘I eat right, I never exercise too much or do too heavy weights. People can push themselves too much. I listen to my body. I have no back or knee pain and I have my husband.
‘[Sex is] very good. My husband is my match.’
Heidi isn’t shy about discussing the couple’s relationship and often shares loved-up snaps with Tom on her social media.
Over the summer, the couple enjoyed a romantic trip to Sardinia.
Heidi’s adventures abroad may be thanks to Tom, who she says has turned her into a party animal.

When Heidi first came to the United States from Germany to pursue modeling at the age of 21, she was focused on her career and not socializing.
“I moved to America in ’94, and I was really business-oriented,” the Project Runway alum told Fox News in February. “I came from Germany and ended up in America and I wanted to succeed.”
“Not necessarily that this would have been a failure, let’s say, but for me, I really wanted to follow my dream and become a model. So I didn’t go out,” Heidi explained. ‘I really wanted to have a career, so I worked on that.’
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel said her 30s were about raising her four children: Leni, Henry, Johan and Lou.
“Now they’re 19, 18, 17 and 14,” Heidi said. “I feel like the days of going to bed at 9:30 are kind of over.”
‘When you have four children, they keep you awake day and night, because believe me, with four there is always one. [one] has a fever, the next one has a bad dream… there’s always something going on,” she continued. ‘
So I feel like they are all older now, maybe it also has to do with my younger husband. I don’t know, but it’s just fun. It’s fun to go to a club. I enjoy music most of the time.”
Heidi shares Henry, Johan and Lou with her ex Seal, while she had eldest daughter Leni with her ex Flavio Briatore.
