A young father has been denied bail over an alleged high-speed accident that killed a brother and sister.
Alina Kauffman, 24, and her brother, Ernesto Salazer, 15, died when a supposedly stolen Mercedes crossed the wrong side of the road and collided with their Toyota Echo in Heckenberg, in Sydneyin the southwest, Friday at 9:20 p.m.
Johnson Kokozian, 20, allegedly told police he was the front seat passenger in the Mercedes registered to his father.
The Parramatta Bail Court heard on Sunday that numerous witnesses claimed Kokozian as the driver.
After hitting the Toyota, the Mercedes slid into a stationary Toyota RAV4 before landing on its side.

The RAV4’s two RAV4 occupants were unharmed.
It is alleged that Mr. Kokozian and two other people climbed out of the wrecked Mercedes and got into another car to drive away, after making no attempt to help the siblings who were fatally injured in the Echo.
Magistrate Rob Rabbidge said he was convinced Kokozian was the Mercedes driver in what he called a “terrible situation” when he refused bail. That reports the Daily Telegraph.
The court heard that the police had visited Kokozian’s father’s house after the crash to warn him about it.
The court heard the man claim the car was stolen.
Kokozian, who has a son, was assisted in court by his girlfriend and father.
Angelina Kauffman, the mother of Alina and Ernesto, said her beautiful two children “didn’t deserve to die.”
She said Alina just picked up Ernesto from his new job at a Kmart just 200 yards from their family home
Alina called me and said, “Mom, I’ve picked up my brother, we’re going to get some food and then we’ll come home,” Angelina told the Daily Telegraph.
“I said, ‘Are you okay?’ and they said yes mom.’
