Heartbreak High star Josh Heuston has been named Breakthrough Actor at the GQ Men of the Year awards

He recently made his Netflix debut as popular high school student Dusty Reid in the Heartbreak High reboot.

And now model Josh Heuston has been named Breakthrough Actor of the Year at GQ’s Men of the Year awards.

The 26-year-old will receive his award on Wednesday at the GQ Men of the Year awards in Sydney.

The GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2022 in partnership with BOSS will see a slew of stars take home top prizes.

Australian actress Olivia deJonge has been named Woman of the Year by GQ.

Scouted at the age of 18, Josh made a name for himself in the fashion world modeling for high-end brands such as Fendi, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Burberry.

Josh decided to pursue acting after getting the “acting bug” after being cast in a music video.

“I loved being able to play someone else. Then I went to drama school,” he told Daily Mail Australia.

Josh also shared how it felt filming Heartbreak High after dropping out of high school years ago.

“It was like a flashback. It was fun, the energy was good,” he said.

“I wasn’t the popular kid in high school like Dusty, I sort of hopped around in groups.”

He portrayed Dusty in the series, a bisexual character who “slept with half the girls – and even a few boys – at school.”
