The Florida native’s wedding has been berated online by social media users, with many of them calling it an “almond wedding.”
The term “almond” is increasingly being used to refer to someone heavily invested in diet culture — and was inspired by an old video of Gigi Hadid’s mother Yolanda telling her daughter to “eat a few almonds” when the supermodel told her she felt “very weak” because she hadn’t eaten.

Finally, the bride broke the liquor she and her guests drank.
