A gun-obsessed young man has been charged with multiple child abuse offenses after allegedly purchasing child exploitation material from a teenager.
Harrison Anthoney William Wride, 22, was arrested at his home in Forrestfield in southeastern Perth in August after being tipped off to the United States National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) AFP.
Police raided his home and reportedly found child abuse material on electronic devices.
Wride allegedly bought self-produced child exploitation material from a teenager in Perth, the AFP said.

His charges included possessing child abuse material, using a carriage service to access child abuse material and engaging in sexual activity using a carriage service with a child under 16.
Wride appeared in court on Friday and will then appear in November.
His Instagram is full of photos of him shooting with various weapons.
He describes himself as a “gun enthusiast”, a “professional bastard” and a “movie buff” in his bio.

AFP Detective Superintendent Graeme Marshall said the AFP worked closely with its counterparts at home and abroad to fight child exploitation and abuse.
“Our common goal is to protect children, wherever they live, and to ensure that anyone who tries to harm them is identified and brought to justice.
“The AFP is working tirelessly with the WA Police Force, domestic and international partners to protect children and will prosecute anyone who preys on them.”
