Hampton Park shooting: Man, 30, found shot dead in vehicle in suspected drive-by shooting – with Ford Ranger ute seen driving away from the area

A man has been found shot dead in a car during a suspected drive-by shooting in Melbourne.

Homicide detectives are investigating after the 30-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound on Bride Avenue in Hampton Park, in Melbourne’s south-east, at 12.30am on Saturday morning.

Despite assistance from the emergency services, the man died on the spot.

Victoria Police said witnesses saw a Ford Ranger business driving away from the scene.

“It is believed the same vehicle was located at Sweeny Reserve in Berwick just after 2.30am,” police told the ABC.
