Grandmother, 83, who dumped her 37-year-old Egyptian toyboy turns super-sleuth to expose the ‘scammers and con-artists’ trying to fool women on dating sites

An 83-year-old grandmother who dumped an Egyptian toyboy lover less than half her age has set out to expose the ‘scammers and scammers’ trying to fool women on dating sites.

Iris Jones, 83, who previously tied the knot with Mohamed Ibrahim, 37, before dumping him three years later, has issued a stark warning to her social media followers.

In a Facebook post, Ms Jones said: ‘A warning to all the vulnerable women online who chat with scammers and scammers, thinking they are messaging real men on legitimate dating sites.

‘Be aware that these criminals are only interested in getting their dirty paws on your money, and will talk to you for weeks or even months to achieve their goal.

‘I myself have been targeted by four scammers in the last few months and now consider myself a competent scammer!’

The retiree posted the email she sent to the most recent scammer for her followers to ‘view’.

The email read: “Let’s cut to the chase, you evil sniveling gobshite?

“For so long you’ve been trying to scam me out of $3,500, I’ve been tricking you with a carefully prepared script, which made me laugh because you swallowed every word I said!

“You see, you pig-faced idiot, you picked the wrong woman this time, because it’s my job to expose fraudsters like you and your ilk.

‘I really enjoyed being the puppeteer and making you dance to my tune.

‘ All that remains for me to say is that I’m glad you left my life empty-handed!!!! Tootle-pip, sunshine.”

Mrs. Jones has had her fair share of scammers.

In early 2020, Ms Jones raised eyebrows when she appeared on This Morning with Holly and Phil, sending them into hysterics.

The pensioner told of her first passionate night with Mr Ibrahim after traveling to Egypt to meet him.

The couple married in November 2020 and there was a separation of almost two years before Mr Ibrahim was finally granted a visa allowing him to move into Ms Jones’ bungalow.

Shortly after Ms Jones dumped Mr Ibrahim, he moved on to another woman.

He started dating mother-of-11 Angela Rogers, 61, after winning her over with supermarket flowers.

Ms Rogers initially reached out to see how Mr Ibrahim was doing in the aftermath of his split and he told her he was “lonely and depressed” during a video call.

She said he showered her with compliments, told her she was beautiful and asked to meet in person.

Mrs Rogers, who had been single for 14 years, told the toyboy he could come stay in her guest room, but admitted: ‘He’s the biggest mistake I’ve ever made.’

‘He’s a follower who clearly has a thing for older women. I don’t want him to hurt anyone else.’

Mr Ibrahim traveled 220 miles by train from Somerset to Leeds where he picked up Mrs Rogers, turned her around and told her she was his ‘queen’.

He then bought her flowers and grapes from Marks & Spencer before cooking her a spaghetti bolognese at her flat.

Despite planning to let him stay in the guest room, Mrs. Rogers admitted he ended up in her bed where they had the “best sex.”

Mr Ibrahim is said to have proposed to his new girlfriend on a footbridge on the A64 York Road in Leeds just five weeks after they started dating.

Although Mrs. Rogers declined, this did not deter Mr. Ibrahim and he proposed a second time without ever buying her a ring.

This relationship sadly ended when Mrs Rogers – who spent £5,000 on her younger boyfriend – dumped Mr Ibrahim after she caught him texting a 69-year-old widow.

Ms Rogers claims he never offered to pay for anything and that she would fund his clothes, trainers, aftershave, bus tickets and meals, among other things.

He also allegedly asked her for £800 to pay for his divorce from Mrs Jones, but she refused to hand him the money.

But she did give him £550 after he told her his father was ill and that he had to visit him in Egypt.

He later told her that his father had made a miraculous recovery and returned to Britain immediately.

Mrs Rogers is determined to find out the truth about why Mr Ibrahim married Mrs Jones and why he used both older women.

She fears Mr Ibrahim is using women to extend his visa, which expires in June.

Mr Ibrahim has since accused Ms Rogers of trying to gain fame by associating herself with his name, saying in a video on social media: “I moved north after a few weeks of separation from this woman. But I’m back in my environment again.’

In another, he told women to “leave me alone.”

He said: ‘Some idiots, some trolls want to become famous on my back.

‘This message is for all the women and girls who follow me. Leave me alone.’
