Wheel Of Fortune host Pat Sajak is stunned after a contestant’s embarrassing fail

Wheel Of Fortune host Pat Sajak has left fans stunned after making a shocking response to a contestant’s embarrassing failure.

The 77-year-old, who is known for his sharp comments, took his usual stance on Tuesday’s episode of the ABC game show.

During the quiz, participant Brittany Collins, a children’s hospital facilitator from Kentucky, received a simple answer.

And Pat didn’t hold back with his thoughts.

In the segment, where $11,200 was up for grabs, the sign read: “A_ _T_ING IS POSSI_ _ E.”

But the answer wasn’t immediately clear to Brittany, who opted to pivot again and asked for an R instead.

There were audible gasps from the crowd, as Brittany herself was seemingly disappointed that she didn’t win the prize.

Pat initially felt sorry for the player before fellow participant Susan Meissner, from South Carolina, quickly guessed correctly that the sign read: ‘Everything is possible’.

The host praised Susan’s efforts shortly before he appeared to make a dig at Brittany.

‘Sometimes you sit at home and think: I know that.’

“It’s funny, sometimes it just won’t focus, and then we move on to the next round.”

One person wrote: ‘How could she not know? It was almost complete except for three letters.

“Now she’s made me grit my teeth, and I can’t stop.”

Another commented: ‘Where the hell did that woman think an ‘R’ would fit into that puzzle?’

And a third said: ‘I can’t believe she said ‘R’ proving nothing is possible.’

Neither Brittany nor Susan ultimately won the competition.

Contestant Blake Swoboda, from Texas, took home $27,250 as a cash prize, as well as a trip to Fairmont Mayakoba, located in Riviera Maya.

It comes after Pat announced he is retiring after 43 years as the face of the show.

Its final episode will air on June 7, after which Ryan Seacrest will take over as host in the fall.

Pat has hosted more than 7,500 editions of the game show since its inception in 1983.

Last summer, Pat tweeted, “It’s been a beautiful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Thank you very much to all of you. (If anything, it keeps the clickbait sites busy!)
