Get The Dude’s look! Jeff Bridges’ iconic brown robe, T-shirt and sunglasses from The Big Lebowski among film props set to hit auction block for the film’s 25th anniversary
A number of iconic film props and memorabilia from The Big Lebowski are being auctioned this year in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary.
One of the most sought-after pieces is the tan fleece knit robe that Jeff Bridges, 73, wore when he played LA slacker Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski in the 1998 Coen Brothers cult classic film.
Also up for grabs is the off-white cotton V-neck Jockey T-shirt he wore in the film, as well as the original sunglasses worn by Bridges – who reunited with his co-star John Goodman earlier this year.
The auction event will feature more than 250 items, from storyboards, costumes and more, all in honor of The Big Lebowski.
The items go on the block as part of the Julien’s auctions and TCM Present: Hollywood Legends: “The Big Lebowski: The Complete Storyboards Auction.” It takes place December 14-17 in Beverly Hills and online at JuliensLive.com.

The storyboards of the entire film – created by J. Todd Anderson – are also up for grabs. The storyboards were created with brush, pencil, pen and ink on standard bond paper.
They contain handwritten text with scenes such as: ‘Tumbleweed Scene’, ‘Supermarket Scene’, ‘Home Invasion Scene’ and more.
Another item is part of an original bowling ball return signed by Bridges, straight from the set of the film.
Bridges also signed other memorabilia, including bowling pins, and added his unique doodles and a fan-favorite quote, “take it easy.”
A portion of the proceeds from the auction will go to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign.
Bridges famously played The Dude – a freewheeling, joint-smoking Angeleno with a penchant for bowling and White Russians – alongside his bowling buddies (John Goodman and Steve Buscemi).
The film follows Lebowski and a cast of characters who become embroiled in a kidnapping scheme after a case of mistaken identity.
It also starred Julianne Moore and the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
The Coen Brothers’ film grossed more than $40 million at the box office worldwide and has an 80 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
In January, Bridges and Goodman reunited at the Critics’ Choice Awards, where Goodman presented Bridges with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Goodman gave a heartfelt speech about his old friend, revealing all the “camaraderie and friendship” they felt behind the scenes translated to the screen, “all thanks to Jeff.”
“He was so dedicated and delivered his hilarious ‘Dude-isms’ so effortlessly that no one ever knew where Jeff ended and the dude began,” Goodman said, adding, “he continues to play such a wide range of characters and tends to lose himself in all of them, before they showed a clip package and Bridges took the stage to accept his award.
‘Thanks, Johan! Thank you, Johannes. Thanks, critics. That guy, from Lebowski, would say, this is exactly your opinion, man,” Bridges joked as he accepted the award.
The Academy Award-winning actor previously called The Big Lebowski “one of my favorite films I’ve ever been involved in,” a sentiment echoed years earlier by Goodman, who shared Rolling stone that playing The Dude’s uptight friend Walter Sobchak was also one of his greatest roles of all time.
