Silver fox George Clooney has been crowned the world’s “sexiest grey” by the British according to new research.
The 61-year-old actor, who has starred since 2009, edged out fellow stars Idris Elba, 50, Helen Mirren, 77, and Jamie-Lee Curtis, 64, for the top spot.
And it seems the Brits are now embracing their gray hair, with a third of those over 40 admitting that natural gray hair is more attractive than dyed locks.

Harriet Scott of global perspective who complied with the research said: “Survey results suggest Brits think silver is sexy, and it’s great to see how many are now ditching hair dye and embracing their natural colour.”
Adding: “It’s also great to see George Clooney topping the poll, along with so many other beautiful gray stars.”
George previously spoke about his silver locks, saying he would never consider using a hair dye as he plans to “age gracefully.”

He said ME! News: ‘I don’t think it makes much sense, honestly…I’ve seen it happen and…particularly on men, I don’t think it really works well. In fact, I think it makes you look older.
Coming in second on the list was Oscar winner Helen Mirren, who decided to go her natural color after playing Queen Charlotte in The Madness of King George in 1994.
Other stars who have embraced natural hair include American actors Richard Gere and Meryl Streep.

Elsewhere in the research, 20% believed that gray hair looked mature and sophisticated, while 36% believed that having gray hair is now more acceptable and there is less stigma about not covering it up.
Other names on the list include Harrison Ford, Barack Obama, Colin Firth, Sarah Jessica Parker and former Friends star Matt LeBlanc.
