Gavin And Stacey star James Corden posed with fans on Tuesday during filming of the sitcom’s final episode.
As James, 46, stands with fans outside an ice cream parlour, co-star Ruth Jones, 57, poses with a fish and chip shop employee in Barry Island, where the series is filmed.
On Monday, James confirmed work had begun by sharing a photo of his character Smithy’s iconic blue Volvo with the caption, “Day 1. Here we go.”
The next day, Joanna, who plays Stacey Shipman, and Ruth, who plays Nessa Jenkins, laughed together on the set of Barry Island.
But surprisingly, Mathew Horne, who played Stacey’s husband Gavin Shipman, was not among them.

On Tuesday he shared a photo of Joanna and Ruth’s backs, captioning it: ‘Day 2. One last time on the island x’.
Joanna also posted a message, sharing a photo of her trailer with the caption: ‘Oh my god, we’re starting! I’m so excited!!’
She captioned the photo: ‘First day!!!!!’ and tagged BBC and BBC iPlayer and used the hashtag Gavin And Stacey.
Enthusiastic fans, including famous names, filled the actors’ comment sections.
They wrote: ‘Can’t wait to see it!! Have fun filming!!’; ‘Can’t wait;’
‘So glad you’re back in Barry. If you need any Barry Island Gin, Rum or Vodka while you’re here, let us know’;

In the scene filmed on Tuesday, it was revealed that Nessa has a new job again: transporting passengers around Barry Island in a rickshaw.
Nessa’s diverse career includes work as a roadie for a major brand, a producer for the BBC and, more similar to her current role, as a truck driver.
She is said to have ridden for Gladys Knight and the Pips, The Who and the farming company Eddie Stobart Ltd.
At one point, James appeared, notes in hand, to give Ruth some advice on how he wanted the scene to flow.
Before filming began, Ruth had lunch at Mr. Villa’s fish and chip shop and posed for a photo with a fan working behind the counter.

This comes after co-star Rob Brydon suggested filming for the show was taking place when he shared a selfie with co-star Ruth Jones on Saturday.
The 59-year-old actor, who plays popular uncle Bryn, beamed alongside Nessa Jenkins star Ruth and teased: “Something’s happening… #gavinandstacey.”
Gavin & Stacey co-creators James and Ruth confirmed the series would return in May, filming on Barry Island, after the final Christmas special aired in 2019.
Fans can find out what happened during the five-year hiatus this year during the Christmas break, after the previous episode became the most-watched non-sporting event in a decade.
At the climax of the episode, Nessa knelt down to propose to Smithy, but viewers never got to hear his reaction.
Mathew’s absence on Tuesday will remind fans of the rumors surrounding his feud with James.
The two were best friends during and after Gavin And Stacey, but despite numerous attempts failed to make a name for themselves as a duo.
