G Flip announced as ARIA Awards co-host alongside Natalie Imbruglia and Ruel after Lewis Capaldi pulled out over scheduling conflict

G Flip is one of the most requested artists of the year.

So it’s no surprise that the 28-year-old Australian musician was invited to present the 2022 ARIA Awards alongside Natalie Imbruglia and Ruel on November 24.

Georgia Claire Flipo, best known by their stage name as G Flip, is expected to be joined by American reality star girlfriend Chrishell Stause at the event.

The pair will make their first public appearance together in Australia at the annual awards ceremony that will take place at the Hordern Pavilion.

Speak with The Daily Telegraphthe non-binary singer admitted that they feel more comfortable in shorts and a T-shirt than on a red carpet.

“I just need to buy an ARIAS outfit and look good now and maybe run a brush through my hair,” G Flip said.

“I’ve always struggled with smart casual, like at these events you have to look a little more chic… I might be a more evolved, polished version of myself for the evening, wearing a cute little outfit.”

“I would wear a long skirt, like a Harry Styles, Travis Barker, Brad Pitt long skirt,” the Get Me Out Of Here singer said of their outfit options.

G Flip stepped in to host the awards after Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi pulled out due to a scheduling conflict.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Sunday, the non-binary singer admitted that they feel more comfortable in shorts and T-shirts than on a red carpet.

This year’s nominations were dominated by Rüfüs Du Sol, with their names in seven categories, followed by Amyl and the Sniffers and Flume.

Flume has also been nominated in six categories this year, with Baker Boy, Vance Joy and Kid LAROI each following closely behind with five nominations.

The event will be broadcast live on Channel Nine on November 24.
