A Taylor Swift fan has criticized the singer’s TikTok endorsement of Kamala Harris, saying she refused to be a “childless cat lady like her!”
In the video, posted by Joey Salads, a former Swift fan is seen burning her Swift merchandise as she announces, “Taylor Swift just endorsed Kamala Harris and I’m done.”
Swift, 34, had decided not to support any candidate up to this point in the election but was “pressured” to speak out.
Before the singer’s announcement, a source told DailyMial.com that the megastar knew she had to “speak up and choose a side for the safety of herself, her family, friends and fans” and “his [Trump] ‘diatribe is downright scary’
Swift’s statement, posted to Instagram, received more than 2.8 million likes in less than an hour.

A source said the singer felt she “had to speak out and take a stand for the safety of herself, her family, friends and fans” and found Trump’s “diatribe downright terrifying.”

The fan started the video wearing a Taylor Swift T-shirt and holding Swift’s ‘Speak Now’ vinyl record.
She then threw the vinyl onto a burning barbecue grill, setting the $40 record alight. She said, “I don’t want to be a childless cat lady like her.”
The fan grabbed a paperback copy of Swift’s book, Taylor Swift: The Whole Story, tore it into pieces and threw it on the floor.
“If you really love cats, you wouldn’t let migrants eat them as pets,” she continued.
She took off her Swift T-shirt to reveal a Donald Trump shirt that read “Can’t Be Killed” under a photo of Trump at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, attempted to assassinate the former president.

The Swift shirt was thrown on the fire, with the fan adding: ‘That’s why I’m replacing all my stuff with stuff that’s not woke anymore.’

Many comments supported the young woman’s position, such as: ‘You just gained a follower.’
Others were equally positive, saying, “Yes, ma’am, you are most welcome.”
While other users were less enthusiastic, one of the most popular comments, which was liked 18,700 times, read: “I don’t think Taylor will lose any sleep over this tonight.”
“After last night’s debate? Okay.”
The video ends with her smiling and putting on a red Make America Great Again baseball cap.
