From Bianca to Kim, Julia and Amber: A look at all the partners Kanye West has tried to change – and how far he managed to push it

Kanye West has had his fair share of romantic relationships while in the public eye.

His behavior towards his partners has come under scrutiny, with allegations he was ‘controlling’ in his current relationship with wife Bianca Censori.

The rapper, also known as Ye, is said to have banned the Australian beauty from using social media and she only wears the clothes he wants.

His ex-wife Kim Kardashian previously claimed Kanye reduced her to tears after throwing away all her clothes he didn’t like.

Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend Julia Fox admitted she felt like a ‘show monkey’ while dating him, while his other ex Amber Rose branded him a ‘bully’.

Bianca Censori

Kanye has been accused of exhibiting controlling behavior in his relationship with Bianca.

It is believed he has banned her from using social media to protect her from negative comments, according to insiders, who claim her friends believe it is really another tactic to further ‘isolate’ her.

Despite the fact that those close to the architectural designer even organized an intervention about her relationship with the rapper and his ‘controlling ways’, her husband seems to have changed her attitude towards social media.

“Bianca has always had social media and was active on it – until she married Kanye,” an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com.

‘He doesn’t want her to have it because he thinks it will hurt her to have to read the nasty things people say.

“He convinced her that since she’s a star now, she should remain a mystery and it’s creepy for those who know her because it feels like a new form of control.”

However, friends have taken issue with the rapper, who goes by the name Ye, posting racy images of his wife on his own Instagram account – despite claiming she needs protection.

The insider added, “He pushes her nudity all over his account so he can control her narrative. It’s disturbing, and by cutting her off from the world he’s causing her to become increasingly isolated.”

Friends would be stunned to see the usually assertive designer agree to Kanye’s demands, as the source pointed out: ‘This strong Bianca who didn’t want to deal with his s*** anymore has apparently disappeared again.

“She wears what he wants, goes where he wants and does what he wants because she really has no other choice. She went from being his designer to being his wife, which unfortunately is not a paid position. She’s stuck.’

In October, DailyMail.com revealed that the Grammy-winning rapper had ordered his wife to ‘never talk’ – and given her a set of rules to adhere to, including specific foods she can eat and what she can wear.

Insiders claimed the designer ‘no longer has an opinion of her own’ and is instead simply ‘obeying’ the controversial rapper because he convinced her they have ‘royal’ status.

“Kanye has some rules for Bianca, including never speaking and wearing what he wants her to wear,” the source explains. “She also needs to eat certain foods and exercise, even if Kanye doesn’t exercise.”

Bianca and Kanye secretly married in December 2022, just a month after he finalized his divorce from Kim Kardashian.

Julia Vos

Kanye had a highly publicized relationship with actress Julia Fox in January 2022, with the pair dating for just over a month.

However, the rapper managed to exert his influence on the Uncut Gems star during that time.

On their second date, he reportedly bought her a whole new wardrobe of clothes and, according to Julia, encouraged her on what to wear and how to style her hair.

In her book Down The Drain she wrote: ‘I don’t know how he did it, or how he got it all there in time. But I was so surprised. Who does this kind of thing on a second date? Or any date!’

‘I certainly see what I like, but I’ve never really been a visionary. Kanye came in and said, ‘You should do your hair like this. You have to do your makeup like this.” That’s his love language, it’s clothes.’

Julia claimed that Kanye tried to decide what she would wear every time they went out, and also told her that he wanted to assign a group of people to work on her wardrobe.

She also wrote in her book that on one occasion she went out and was told to meet her new stylist in the restaurant bathroom, who reportedly offered her several outfits to wear.

Julia also claimed that Kanye offered to pay for her to get a boob job after seeing her model some of the new clothes he approved.

But Julia didn’t appreciate Kanye’s input, writing that constantly wearing what he wanted her to wear made her feel like a “show monkey.”

Kim Kardashian

If Kanye likes to have a say in what his partner wears, it’s because he did the same during his marriage to Kim Kardashian.

Kim previously told how Kanye immediately wanted to change her wardrobe when they first started dating and had no problem telling her she had bad fashion sense.

Speaking at the Matters of fashionAt the first BoF West summit, Kim recalled, “I always thought I had really good style – until I met my husband and he told me I had the worst style. He was very nice about it and cleaned out my entire closet.”

According to Kim, Kanye brought her to tears when he cleaned out her closet.

She said, “I probably had 250 pairs of shoes and when we finished cleaning up, I had two left and I was crying.”

On an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she added: ‘Our whole interaction was that if I got rid of my clothes, he would fill my closet. But now I’m going crazy. I could literally cry.”

Kim also claimed that Kanye would regularly email her fashion advice, complete with mood boards, and once told her she couldn’t wear big sunglasses anymore.

However, Kim doesn’t seem to hold a grudge and believes Kanye has taught her more about fashion.

She said: ‘There were racks of clothes from designers I’ve never heard of, like Lanvin and Givenchy. I didn’t know that at the time.

‘I kept everything because it was really sentimental to me. I wanted to learn. When he did, he wanted to teach me.”

Amber had a highly publicized two-year relationship with Kanye when they dated from 2008 to 2010.

However, the relationship ended badly, with Amber later revealing the pair were ‘two very different people’.

Like his other exes, Amber previously shared how Kanye also encouraged her to wear the clothes he liked and how he once styled her for a photo shoot in Elle magazine.

The rapper has spoken publicly about his relationship with Amber and once cruelly joked that he had to take “30 showers” after their breakup.

Returning to the No Jumper podcast, Amber said: “He has bullied me for ten years. He bullied me for ten years.’

She added, “I am a compassionate person. I have empathy. I’m a good person. That’s why people love me. That’s why everyone I’ve ever been in a relationship with loved me.

“You can’t really name anyone who says anything really bad about me except him, because I got away.”

Unlike Kim, Amber doesn’t feel like she learned anything from her relationship with Kanye and said they aren’t “at all” alike.

She added: “I don’t really think of him that way. For me it’s a man I had a relationship with ten years ago.’
