Friends star Bonnie Somerville has married her beau Dave McClain in a romantic ranch wedding in California.
The actress, 49. who played Mona in the iconic 2001-2002 sitcom, revealed that she ‘never believed in soulmates’ before meeting Dave on dating app Bumble, but soon knew he was the love of her life.
Bonnie and Dave got married on April 8 at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in California’s Santa Susana Mountains, after the actress expressed her hopes for “a rustic country European outdoor vibe.”
She said People of their online connection: “I hadn’t been on the app that long and never checked in. I was filming showing an actor how the dating apps work and I randomly saw a message that this guy used his one time extension to meet me.
“I had 10 minutes left to answer. It was so random because if I hadn’t logged in to show my boyfriend I never would have met him! I saw his smile and said, “I’m going to swipe for this man!” We texted, then went on to call for an hour and a half, then I went back to LA, we went out for our first date and that was that! I knew right away he was the one.’

The pair first met two weeks before the 2020 lockdown and connected through their shared love of music and performing.
Their first dance was to a cover of Ember Island’s Umbrella.
Bonnie said before she met her current husband she had accepted and “made peace” with the fact that she may never find love, but now says, “I now believe in true love.” It’s never too late.’
She said, “When you meet someone later in life, especially in your 40s, you have a greater appreciation for what that means, I think. We both had great lives that we lived. Dave was married before. I just think that at our age, at least for me, I’ve been through a lot in life, appreciate this more than before.
‘And you know very clearly what you want and need, so there is no time wasted. We both just knew. We got engaged after eight months. It was just easy and good.’
Bonnie was led down the aisle to the score of their favorite movie, Out Of Africa, while Dave’s sister led the ceremony and his two daughters escorted him down the aisle.
Guests were treated to a delicious wedding breakfast of filet mignon, pistachio crusted halibut and a vegetable risotto
Somerville is best known for her guest role on Season 8 of Friends, in which her character Mona dated David Schwimmer’s character Ross Geller.

The actress starred as Detective Laura Murphy on NYPD Blue in over 20 episodes from 2004 to 2005.
Years later, she starred in another CBS drama, Code Black, as Christa Lorenson in over 18 episodes from 2015 to 2016.
The relationship with CBS didn’t end there as more recently she starred as Paula Hill for three episodes of Blue Bloods in 2020.
