The French club Nice has filed a complaint after a pornographic film was created in its stadium during a match.

The incident took place during their Ligue 1 win against Lille on January 29, which ended 1-0 for the hosts after a Gaetan Laborde goal.

Les Aiglons filed an official complaint with the police after details of the X-rated video surfaced on social media, and are believed to be considering legal proceedings.

Nice Eco Stadium, the company that operates the Allianz Riviera field, also files a complaint for ‘associating the image of the stadium with pornographic activity’.

Supporters of the south coast club alerted them that the love incident had occurred in the middle of Sunday’s game, the club discovered the video on Monday, the following day, and the following day began to file complaints.

Although fans have reacted with amusement on social media, it is understood that it is no laughing matter for the top-tier team.

One said: “We spent £26.5m on (forward Terem) Moffi when we had this guy in the stadium,” he posted with an image and a line of dialogue apparently used in the video.

The porn actress is believed to have approached a random follower before proposing to him as part of a ‘challenge’ and taking him to the bathroom to perform the act.

Nice enjoy a six-game unbeaten run since former PSG and Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard took over as caretaker manager on January 9 following the sacking of Lucien Favre.

Recent results have lifted the club to seventh in the Ligue 1 table, four points behind Lille in the last European qualifying spot.

Nice is owned by English billionaire and INEOS CEO Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is set to make a bid for English giants Manchester United before Friday’s deadline.

Glazer’s hugely unpopular owners value the club at around £6bn, with interest from investors from Qatar and Saudi Arabia, as well as Ratcliffe and Tesla and Twitter owner Elon Musk.

Next, the Côte d’Azur team faces England’s William Still’s Reims at home on Saturday. They will no doubt expect players to provide enough entertainment to ensure similar events don’t play out during that game.
