Fox News host Jesse Watters revealed Monday that he was attacked by a dog over Thanksgiving. He insisted that the dog belonged to Democrats because the owner did not recognize it and was driving a Subaru.
Watters, 45, showed off his scarred hand two weeks after telling his Fox co-hosts that his dog Duchess, a Bernadoodle, had been “got rid of” because “it wasn’t working.”
Watters and his wife Emma are also said to own a miniature poodle, Rookie.
The news anchor told viewers Monday that he was walking over Thanksgiving break and came across a woman with a large dog, which he immediately felt was out of her control.

“We’re in a tight part of the trail and I notice the dog is all wet, and she says, ‘Oh, this is my dog, you know, kind of wet, he just swam in the pond,’ and I think, “This is a bit crazy,” Watters said.
‘You let your dog swim in a pond, 37 degrees in a nature reserve? That’s my first clue.
“Second clue: the woman is having trouble keeping the dog on a leash.”
He continued, “The dog comes by, and I try to back away, just give her some space – the dog bites me. Twice. He squeezes my crotch and takes a piece out of my hand.’
He then asked the camera crew in the studio to zoom in on his hand, which had a visible scar.
‘See it? Zoom in on that. Zoom in. And I never like to show pain, I never say ouch,” he said.
“I mean, thank God she bit me. She didn’t bite someone like Judge Jeanine. She would have to appear in court for a year.”

Watters then claimed she was a Democrat.
“I could tell she was a Democrat because when I drove my car into the reservation, there was a Subaru Outback. Death giveaway. Besides, she didn’t recognize me.’
He concluded, “So that was my Thanksgiving. How was yours?’
Watters stated two weeks earlier that his family had gotten rid of Duchess, the sister of Jeanine Pirro’s dog.
Both Watters and his wife posed with the dog on October 11, with a photo captioned: ‘Life is short, get the dog!! Meet the newest member of the Watters family – DUCHESS (Duchy for short)!!!
“Thank you @judge_jeanine for leading me to her (fun fact: Judge Jeanine and Duchy’s dog are sisters).

The family shared a photo of the Duchess on October 11, but by November 15 the dog had ‘disappeared’
But on November 15, Watters told his Fox colleagues on The Five, “We ended up getting rid of the dog we had.”
Co-host Greg Gutfeld said, “Don’t say you’re done with it.”
Watters replied: ‘Getting off is a euphemism.’
When asked what the euphemism was for, Watters said, “I’m not going there. It did not work. It did not work.’
