Former Arsenal wonderkid Emmanuel Frimpong on Wednesday reportedly tried to force his tenants out of their home by peeking through their blinds, a court heart.

Frimpong, 32, was the subject of a variety of allegations in the Edmonton County Court, which came from his long-suffering tenant Reiane McGregor.

McGregor, who moved into the house with her mother Fay, revealed the former Gunners midfielder, who was present in court, had made her life hell.

A report in The sun claimed that Frimpong not only peered through the blinds in their living room, but also moved into the property with his wife and children.

After initially claiming it would only be for a few weeks, the arrangement was due to be extended, with Frimpong’s behavior reportedly becoming increasingly aggressive.

For example, he allegedly said to his tenants: ‘I can come to the building whenever I want.’

Frimpong is also alleged to have filed a claim for ‘expedited possession’, a procedure by which a landlord can serve the tenant with a notice of termination, in an attempt to force McGregor and her mother to leave.

However, the report added that McGregor did not believe the claim was genuine and also alleged that Frimpong had provided several false documents.

She told the court: ‘What he has forwarded could be seen as falsified.’

The report further claims that a subsequent hearing will be held to determine whether the above-mentioned documents were authentic.

Deputy District Judge Elizabeth Boon said: ‘She says ‘I was never given the copy of the energy performance certificate or the gas safety certificate’.

“If she never received that, that would mean the section 21 notice was not valid.”

McGregor and her mother went to the Citizens Advice Bureau to seek help and investigate the allegations.

McGregor said outside court in Edmonton: “It’s a house, but it’s not a home anymore.”

Frimpong is best known for his time at Arsenal, which he joined at the age of nine, before progressing to the first team, where he made 16 senior appearances.

However, he has struggled with injuries, while a tunnel failure with Samir Nasri also affected his time at the club.

After loan spells at Wolves, Charlton and Fulham, he moved to Barnsley in 2014.

The Ghanaian, who won a sole cap for his country, went on to play for Russian side UFA, Swedish side AFC Eskilstuna and Cypriot side Ermis Aradippou before retiring in 2019 due to injury.
