Football legend Jamie Redknapp writes touching Mothers’ Day tribute to his mum Sandra and wife Frida

Jamie Redknapp took to Instagram on Sunday to post a touching Mother’s Day tribute to his mother Sandra and wife Frida.

The former soccer player spoke to his 1.4 million followers about the two “most special women” in his life.

She shared a photo of her stunning spouse, 38, holding the couple’s 15-month-old son, Raphael.

The model wore a dark blue-grey bikini with a seashell pattern on the beach clasp.

She looked radiant and motherly as she smiled at the camera, holding the young man close to her chest.

Her blonde locks were left loose in soft waves and her pearly white teeth contrasted against her tanned, sun-kissed skin.

‘We love you so much’: Jamie Redknapp called his wife Frida, 38, an amazing mother to their 15-month-old son Raphael at a Mother’s Day tribute on Sunday

Of his wife, he wrote: ‘to my wife Frida, you are an amazing mother, we love you very much’.

He also shared a sweet photo of him sitting with his mom in front of a wooden fence.

Sandra, 74, looked as glamorous as ever, wearing a silver fur jacket over a high-necked navy blue maxi dress.

The auburn-haired septuagenarian beauty glowed positively, beaming as she posed with her son, his arm around her.

In her caption, she wrote: ‘To my mom, thank you for being such a great role model to me.

‘Your class and grace shine so brightly. We are lucky to have you.

Among the photos of his protagonists, Jaime also posted a photo of his family day at the Queenwood golf course, where they had to celebrate the day.

The Skysports pundit walked arm in arm with his mother, who wore a smart dark blue pantsuit over a white shirt, teamed with red sneakers and a bag.

“We are lucky to have you”: the former soccer player thanked his 74-year-old mother Sandra in the post for being a good example to follow

Frida, dressed in a chic royal blue V-neck sweater and black flared shorts, stands to her right, with the couple’s young son standing between them.

They both clung tightly to the boy’s hands and seemed like the perfect family unit.

Her soccer partner and Jamie’s father, Harry Redknapp, stood on Sandra’s other side, slightly ahead to lead the way for his brood.

In her caption, Jamie wrote that it was “amazing to spend Mother’s Day with the two most special ladies in my life.”

The former England player was not only praised within his family.

Instead, she sent good Mother’s Day wishes to all the ‘wonderful moms’ across the country.

She finished her post: ‘And to all the wonderful moms out there, have the best day.

I hope you are pampering yourself a lot.

Spread the love: In addition to praising his two main leads, Jamie wished well to “all the wonderful moms out there”

The former Southampton footballer previously described Frida as the “perfect mother” who “checks all the boxes”.

Jamie made an appearance on The John Bishop Show where he explained how they met through a friend.

Jamie said: ‘One of my best friends introduced us and that made it pretty easy. Frida had just gotten divorced a couple of years ago.

He said: “You are made for each other, you have the same interests.” And yes, luckily she’s amazing, she’s a great mom, she ticks all the boxes, she’s just perfect! I am very lucky.’

The couple went public with their relationship in August 2020 and married in October 2021, while Frida was heavily pregnant.

They were married in London’s Chelsea Register Office with a handful of guests in attendance.

Jamie was previously married to singer Louise Redknapp and shares children with her, Charley, 18, and Beau, 14.

Frida was previously married to hedge fund manager Jonathan Lourie, 58, and the couple share four children.

The veteran Redknapps have certainly set a fine example when it comes to martial bliss, recently admitting that they love each other no less than they did after exchanging vows more than half a century ago.

Harry was a promising young footballer for West Ham United when he met apprentice hairdresser Sandra Young on a rowdy dance floor above Stratford’s legendary Two Puddings pub in 1968.

Months later they were married and Sandra supported her husband as he finished his soccer career with the defunct North American club Seattle Sounders before establishing himself as a much-loved coach and manager.

Some fifty-four years after their wedding day, Two Puddings closed its doors long ago, but Harry and Sandra remain as inseparable as ever, with the couple insisting that the key to their remarkable longevity is mutual friendship.
