Florida police are looking for a possible triple homicide suspect after three teens were found dead or dying along a road north of Orlando.

The two 16-year-old girls and a 17-year-old boy were discovered near Ocklawaha, 60 miles northwest of Orlando.

Layla Silvernail was alive when she was found Thursday night shot in the head and left in a dumpster near Forest Lakes Park. WCJB reported.

Her family has since been told she is brain dead and will no longer be on a ventilator, according to a GoFundMe page set up to support them.

A second victim, an unnamed 17-year-old boy, was found less than a mile away on Friday morning, shot dead by the side of the road.

The third victim, another 16-year-old girl, was found shot dead in Silvernail’s car, which was partially submerged in a lake, on Saturday.

Layla Silvernail, 16, was found shot to the head on Thursday and left in a dumpster, but she was still alive. She has since passed away and police have found two more teenage victims – a 17-year-old boy and another 16-year-old girl – who they believe are linked

Sheriff Billy Woods said in a video statement on Facebook that his team was investigating how the trio were connected.

“My major crime detectives are working 24/7 to continue their murder investigation and diligently track down every possible lead,” he said.

“We are devastated by the families of these three teenagers and we are determined to bring to justice whoever is responsible for these heinous acts.”

Woods also asked anyone with any information to come forward.

He also cautioned against believing rumors that had been circulating – noting that reports of a fourth victim were untrue.

“I know this is a very tight-knit community and many of you are very concerned,” he said.

“Someone out there knows something. We want you to have truthful information and not hearsay.’

Silvernail was described as a talented softball player by her friends and relatives.

Silvernail’s family decided to donate her organs “so she can help others in the wake of this tragedy,” the girls’ softball league wrote on its fundraising page.

“She is the definition of a team player and a great athlete,” they said.

“She loved softball, was a great pitcher, and could play any position her team needed. She lifted all her teammates!

“She was taken from us far too soon and will be sorely missed.”
