Florence Pugh heaps praise on ex-boyfriend Zach Braff while revealing hilarious text he sent

Florence Pugh praised her ex-boyfriend Zach Braff while appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Monday.

Showing that they are still on good terms, the actress, 27, revealed that he sent her a good luck message just hours before the talk show, with a hilarious typo.

back in august, Florence announced that she had separated from the 47-year-old actor and filmmaker, after three years together in an interview with harper’s bazaar.

The Little Women star appeared on the show to promote her new movie, A Good Person, written by Zach.

Mentioning the next image, Jimmy said: ‘I want to talk about your new movie, A Good Person. This is written and directed by Zach Braff, who I love. He is a great guy. So talented, but also super funny.’

Florence chimed in: “Yeah, let’s give him a round of applause,” before adding: “He told me to have fun tonight, but he texted me, ‘Tell mom I love him.’

‘It was a typo and it was actually Jimmy!’ he exclaimed, to which the comedian quipped, “I was going to say, ‘Did you ever call me mommy?’ That’s great.’

Florence quipped, “Yeah, tell mom you love him too.” Mommy loves you, Zach!’ while the audience roared with laughter.

On a serious note, Jimmy continued: “But he wrote this movie for you…”

Florence said: ‘I was his muse. I also think it’s very easy to read a script when someone knows how you speak and how far they can push you and what you’re capable of. So it was just a joy.

Florence pulled double duty serving as producer and lead actress opposite Morgan Freeman in the dueling drama A Good Person, which hits UK and US cinemas this Friday.

The Scrubs alum, who turns 48 next month, has been more than friendly with the 5-foot-3 blonde, having dined with her and her family on Saturday night.

“I’m in awe of his talent,” Zach said, sporting a green three-piece suit. Eastern Time on Monday.

Other ladies in the A Good Person cast included Nichelle Hines, SJ Son and Emilia Suárez who play Molly, Christine the pharmacist and Gabriella.

Zach met Florence’s parents and grandmother for dinner Saturday night.showing his family a good time in New York City.

Florence skipped dinner, but there’s no bad blood between her and Braff, who she dated from 2019 to 2022.

The Little Women star has since moved in with Charlie Gooch, who is reportedly a former schoolmate from England.

The actress confirmed in an interview with harper’s bazaar last year that she and the Scrubs star split in August.

The couple worked to keep their relationship out of the public eye, with Florence saying they wanted to break up in private.

Florence told the publication: “We’ve been trying to do this split without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everyone has an opinion about.”

“We feel like something like this would really benefit us from not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together.” So we’ve done that. I automatically get a lump in my throat when I talk about it.

Opening in theaters on March 24, A Good Person will feature the lead performance by Florence as Allison, a young woman who strikes up an unlikely relationship with her would-be father-in-law, years after surviving the tragic accident that killed her fiancé.
