Neighbors were shocked to learn that the boy had survived the tragic accident.

James Lucas, 40, who lives on the sixth floor of the apartment block, told DailyMail.com that he was downstairs buying Chinese food at the time of the incident.

Ambulances and emergency crews filled the vacant lot around the building where the father of three said he saw Zohar, who appeared “lifeless” sprawled on the concrete.

“He was on the ground, not moving, I thought he wasn’t going to live,” Lucas said.

“I was downstairs buying Chinese food and there were ambulances everywhere and I had no idea what had happened, I just saw the boy, he looked lifeless.”

‘I didn’t even realize it was the fifth floor until later.’

Lucas, who shares an apartment similar to Adams’, said the building’s windows have a sill that a child “could definitely stand on.”

“Definitely, if you’re a kid, you can stand on that sill, but my kids haven’t been here, I think they should look at the window guards for sure,” he said.

‘I couldn’t believe he survived that, I mean the fifth floor, that’s a drop.

“I was only there for a few minutes, he was there when I got there.”

One woman, who has a daughter who lives a few doors down from Adams and wished to remain anonymous, told DailyMail.com she was shocked to hear the news.

“I’m just visiting my daughter, but I remember her mentioning it, I didn’t realize it was the fifth floor,” he said.

The woman, who said she was just visiting her daughter, said the apartment shares a “similar layout” to other apartments on the floor.

Allowing DailyMail.com into the apartment, the woman said there were two sets of three windows in the one-bedroom unit.

Each window has a sliding glass panel, a screen and a sill. It is unclear from which window Zohar fell from in his apartment.

The woman said that opening and closing her daughter’s windows is “quite difficult”, adding that she cannot talk on other units on the floor.

“I’m so shocked that a child was able to open these windows if that’s what happened,” she said. These also have screens. What a horrible accident.

Adams said in a statement: “As a single parent of a child with special needs, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces.

“I am devastated, angry and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has been seriously injured due to the willful negligence of our landlord and others involved in failing to take necessary safety measures.”

Flo Rida addressed the incident nearly a month later. Zohar’s mother, Alexis Adams, claimed in 2018 that the rapper “had only seen her son once during [a] Paternity test’

The suit seeks damages, attorneys’ fees and money for Zohar’s medical bills. He claims that the building’s owners, managers, and maintenance companies failed to install the correct window guards in the apartment.

It states that Zohar was ‘severely injured’, will incur treatment expenses and ‘has been disabled and will in the future be disabled and unable to perform his usual duties’.

Zohar “has been and will in the future be caused by great pain and suffering, to his great loss and damage and will in the future suffer great physical and mental pain and suffering,” the lawsuit states.

Adams told DailyMail.com in 2018 that the rapper refuses to meet his young son, who suffers from a rare brain disorder, calling him an “evil kid.”

He also denied that Zohar was his son, before a DNA test revealed a 99.9 percent match that Flo Rida was the boy’s father.

The new lawsuit gives Zohar’s last name as Dillard, the same as his father, but he is also known as Zohar Paxton.

“Flo Rida has only seen her son once during the paternity test, but she kept her glasses on and turned her back on him,” he said at the time.

They were in the same room. She didn’t try to hug Zohar, nothing. It was very cold.’

Zohar (depicted as a baby) has hydrocephalus, a neurological condition that causes an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid within the cavities of the brain.

In 2018, Zohar underwent brain surgery, but his father did not visit him or call on the phone, Alexis said.

Although the rapper covered his son’s health insurance and provided an undisclosed amount of child support each month, Alexis’s legal battle with Flo Rida was ongoing in 2018 because she “doesn’t feel the support is enough for a child with special needs.” According to his lawyer

Zohar has hydrocephalus, a neurological condition that causes an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within the cavities of the brain.

Although symptoms vary, they can include abnormal enlargement of a baby’s head, nausea, vomiting, headache, and vision problems.

Since birth, Zohar has had numerous medical appointments, tests and ultrasounds for the incurable disease.
