The first trailer for the film Candy Cane Lane was released on Wednesday.
Eddie Murphy62, stars in the holiday film in which Tracee Ellis Roos plays his wife.
The synopsis: A man makes a deal with a mischievous elf who casts a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life.
The film, directed by Reginald Hudlin, will be released on December 1, 2023.
The clip begins with Murphy telling his family not to “freak out” about his Christmas surprise.
“I just want this to be the best Christmas ever,” the comedian can be heard saying in the voice-over.

When he enters the Kringle store and is surprised by a woman while looking at the beautiful decorations, it is hinted that something could go terribly wrong.
And it does.
Christmas turns into chaos. “This is crazy,” Murphy’s character says as Drake’s name is dropped as part of a family joke.
Prime Video released the first images of the film on Tuesday.
The studio shared a poster showing the Oscar nominee holding a string of Christmas lights and wearing a black turtleneck with an image of Santa Claus riding a unicorn.
“Don’t mess around with holiday magic,” the publicity department wrote next to the photo on social media.
“Candy Cane Lane premieres on Prime Video on December 1.”
It is his first live-action holiday film in his more than forty-year career.
The film reunited Eddie with Boomerang director Reginald.
The director described Eddie’s character, Chris Carver, as follows Peopleas a man who loves Christmas so much, he even gave all his children Christmas-themed names.”
The children are called Holly, Joy and Nick.
When Chris is unexpectedly fired just before the holidays, “he throws himself into winning the Candy Cane Lane home decorating contest in his neighborhood, which has a huge cash prize,” the director explained.
But after finding some fantastic 12 Days of Christmas decorations, Chris is sure it will put him ahead of the competition. He discovers that they are cursed by “a wayward elf named Pepper,” my Jillian Bell played.
“Instead of winning it all, he could lose it all!” the filmmaker explained.

The cursed ornaments are played by Nick Offerman, Chris Redd and Robin Thede.
“Nick Offerman plays a true English gentleman from another era, while Robin Thede plays a Kardashian-esque power shopper and Chris Redd plays an ordinary working-class man,” the director explains.
“They don’t get along very well, but they are bonded in their urgent need to escape Pepper’s clutches.”
He described Pepper as someone who “takes the ‘coal in stock’ punishment to absurd lengths.”

Feels: The director revealed, “I can confidently say you’ve never seen a holiday movie like this! We’ve got jump scares, car chases and kung fu fights, plus all the holiday spirit’
“She’s out to punish anyone she thinks deserves it, and that includes pretty much everyone.”
Ross, 50, stars as Chris’s wife, Carol, who keeps the family finances together and gets promoted at the distribution center where she works as an executive.
“When Christmas and her family are threatened by supernatural forces, her Mama Bear instincts come into full effect,” Reginald argued.
‘I can say for sure that you have never seen a holiday movie like this! We have jump scares, car chases and kung fu fights, plus all the holiday spirit,” he revealed.
