A man remains behind bars after allegedly indecently assaulting a child at a popular fast food restaurant.
Marhdu Andrew Rosas, 29, was remanded in custody during his first appearance in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday over the alleged incident.
He is accused of attacking the child at the Hungry Jacks in Firle, East Adelaide, on Friday before fleeing when confronted by the child’s parent.
Police arrested Rosas the next day at a home he shares with his mother in Mile End, about 5 miles west of the restaurant.
He was charged with aggravated indecent assault and gross indecency.

Rosas allegedly attacked the child at the Hungry Jacks in Firle, East Adelaide (pictured) on Friday before fleeing after being confronted by the parents.
Rosas broke down in court after seeing his mother, Melinda, in the gallery, wailing “I love you mommy” and “I’m so sorry,” 7News reports.
Melinda said outside court that she believed her son was innocent because he comes from a “big family.”
‘We are a big family, children run everywhere. There is no way he could have done this,” she said.
‘He’s innocent. He’s a beautiful boy. He works hard. He loves family.”
Rosas’ lawyer did not apply for bail and he was remanded in custody until his next court appearance in September.
