A fired Spectrum NY1 meteorologist, who masturbated on camera to strangers online, broke his silence, six months after he was fired when his boss, mother and boyfriend received his nudes in the mail.

Emmy nominee Erick Adame was fired in September 2022 after a user on an adult webcam site took screenshots of him acting explicitly and leaked them. Supposedly, the police are investigating whether he is a victim of revenge porn.

His last live cam session was on December 28, 2021, when someone posted a link publicly naming Adame. The weatherman has now opened up about how online sex acts made him “feel better about himself” when he was twenty.

He admitted that even on camera, he would reveal that he was an employee of NY1, and it was revealed that he told up to 700 users his full name and address.

Breaking his silence, Adame told the Death, Sex & Money podcast: ‘It makes me feel better about myself. For years dating from my teens I had low self esteem and was ashamed of who I am because I’m gay.

Erick Adame said that having people call him sexy while on the webcam made him feel better about himself. He now he talks about his ordeal, six months after being fired from him when his boss, his mother and his boyfriend received their nudes in the mail.

Police are now reportedly investigating whether her situation can be classified as ‘revenge porn’.

“And to show off, to get that kind of praise and to be called hot, I want to see more, hearing that from someone on the other end made you feel so good.”

He said he debated whether he should show his face on camera while performing the sexual acts, and eventually ended up doing so.

And talking to men online allowed her to not only feel ‘sexy’ but to play on their exhibitionist and demeaning desires.

He added: ‘It just wasn’t the same. It wasn’t that fun. I thought my face was beautiful… if I’m looking for compliments, this is one of my best attributes. Do you know how you have the devil on your shoulder and the angel on your shoulder?’

Adame revealed that his cam days began on Skype, where he would make video calls to people he knew from college. But as he got older, he performed for strangers and became more “risky” when he moved to New York in 2017.

Looking back at the leaked images, he admitted: ‘They are graphic. Some of them are so humiliating now.

After photographs were sent to his workplace, he was eventually fired. The images were also mailed to his mother and his new boyfriend, with Adame admitting: “I have so much anger towards that person, because I just don’t understand why.” Why would you want to upset someone by sending those images to someone’s mother?

The meteorologist said he made mistakes, but in the process he learned a lesson: be more careful. “It’s unfortunate that it was too late,” he said.

According to Death, Sex & Money, police are investigating whether Adame’s ordeal qualifies as “revenge porn.” It’s unclear if she is the victim of a crime, because in New Jersey, revenge porn laws only apply if the content spread was only created with an expectation of privacy.

NYPD told DailyMail.com they have no complaints on file for Adame.

In September, Adame wrote in a lengthy confessional post: “Despite being a public figure and on television in the country’s largest market in front of millions of people five days a week for over a decade and a half, I appeared on secret.on an adult webcam website.

“On this site, I acted out my compulsive behaviors, while at home, performing on camera for other men,” he wrote.

“It was 100% agreed by both parties. I was not paid for this, and it was foolish of me to think that I could keep this private. However, my employer found out and I was suspended and then fired.’

Adame was nominated for two Emmy Awards over the course of his nearly 15-year career, five of which were spent as a meteorologist at NY1 before being fired.
