A female fisherman has caught the largest fish ever caught by a woman in Britain, weighing more than a Great Dane, after stalking him for two days.
Naomi Turner set a new British record when she caught a whopping 30kg carp at Holme Fen Fishery in Cambridgeshire.
The enormous fish is known as Pashley and is the largest in the lake; it is also the largest caught by a woman in Britain.
Naomi had been fishing in the shallower areas for 48 hours and hadn’t had much luck, reported the Angling Times.

She decided to change her tactics and try the deeper waters instead after spotting some fish there.
The female fisherman’s bait was quickly taken in just two hours and she was soon trying to retrieve her new catch from the water.
Naomi told Angling Times: “There was a spot to my left on a small bump surrounded by weeds and with minimal bait. I was just hoping to catch one venturing through.
‘The rods had only been out a few hours when the left rod indicated a slow take. As soon as I connected, the fish had other ideas and found itself stuck in a large weed bed.”
Naomi had to gently coerce the fish until she could finally land it in her net.
Make a splash! Naomi didn’t think she’d catch Pashley “in a million years.”
Describing the excitement of landing her surprisingly large catch, she added: ‘After a few tears of joy, several moments of elation and disbelief, I finally discovered that this is potentially the biggest carp in the country and the largest carp caught by fishing. also a female fisherman in Great Britain, a session I will certainly not forget.’
Naomi’s huge catch is heavier than the previous British mirror carp record of 68lb, but strict rules on feeding mean it is unlikely to be officially recognised. reported the sun.
The fisherman is thrilled with her huge fish and told the Sun: ‘I’ve wanted to catch Pashley for a while, but never in a million years did I really think it would happen.
“I’m still buzzing and think I’ll stay that way for a while.”
